Bavarian
Three riders withdrawn from the original line-up, Patrick Hougaard, Leon Madsen and Thomas Jonasson. There places are taken by the reserves ANdrey karpov, Tobias Kroner and the next in line James Wright. Does anybody know why the Danes and the Swede do not ride at Daugavpils? It is strange with Patrick and Leon as the DMU have seeded them into the Danish U21 final,so they don't have to ride in the semi finals in Brovst which clash with the meeting in Daugavpils Danish semi's
ballinger
I believe Patrick Hougaard is riding in a UEM event on Sunday, and it wasnt logistically possible to get his bikes from Latvia to Germany overnight.
racers and royals
You wish lol.. it's 8+1 from each Semi Final. If no Brit qualifies by right in the top 8 its only 7 that qualify from Latvia with a British pick in the final.

You are kidding me!!! Im a brit through and through but obviously that is Rory's round and being biased I cant believe its 7 from 1 semi and 8 from the other. Also Rory's facebook stated he needs a top 8 place - not 7!!!!! Where does it state this please Racers? DutchGrasstrack
Whoops, sorry 'racers and royals'... you're right! According to the FIM rules and codes: "071a.1 GENERAL Competitions for individual riders: 16 riders (plus 2 reserve riders) will compete in each meeting. Each FMNR of a FIM Speedway World Championship meeting (Qualifying rounds, Semi-Finals, Grand Final) is guaranteed at least one rider from its Federation in this meeting." Ghostwalker
what silly rule. If a rider want to be in that meeting he should have to qualify by his own merit and not because he happened to be from the country in which the final is held. So with the current way that the wind is blowing, Kylmäkorpi will make it to the meeting proper on saturday (rain is promised at Motala I'm told) only to be outruled from the qualifinal by some nobody like Simon Stead or David Howtodoit!! This is what myself and a few have been saying for a couple of days.Like i said before i expect Chris Harris to be in the Final no matter what.He either qualifies or is seeded. I think he would rather qualify though. But now Tai and james wright are in the mix.I still think Bomber should get the spot if none make it through

I don't disagree with you on that. But there is a financial reality in the situation. It is funny because when it normally crops up there is all the talk about "this meeting(usually World U21 final,etc....)should be held in one of the major countries, not some speedway backwater..........now we might see it happen in GB.I hope we don't though....... Jenn
Gutted Paddy had to pull out - Prob a year or 2 early for him tough. Maybe next year eh!?
Little-End
Gutted Paddy had to pull out - Prob a year or 2 early for him tough. Maybe next year eh!? His decision , I agree that "if" he qualified for the GP`s it would 1 or 2 years too early and could wreck a promising Career. Lucky

Motala Semi Final Antonio Lindback (Sweden) Kenneth Bjerre (Denmark) Matej Žagar (Slovenia) Chris Harris (Great Britain) Jonas Davidsson (Sweden) Grzegorz Walasek (Poland) Dave Watt (Australia) Lukáš Dryml (Czech Rep.)
