shazzybird
4th bend was awful, have never come away from the stadium with a headache but did yesterday! Love the different tunes for the different winners but .... was so distorted took a while to realise what was being played. Kevin Coombs as much as I love the fella I found him irritating with his shouting especially when holding his last note!!! Tribute act ..... what a load of cack wish I'd stayed in the Aussie bar a bit longer
rusky
We were on the lower tier, first bend just before the apex, and the sound was absolutely appalling. I thought the choice of music (which could be heard fine, it was just any speech from the centre green or video) was pretty good. My 5 year old had a great time sining along and dancing to the music pretty much all night. As has already been mentioned I think it went too close to the actual start of the race though. I like the suggestion of playing 'the race' upto the start
Sandie
Very loud but very clear where we were sat. BUT - we are Great BriTain - NOT Great Bri-ain!!!
MattK
I thought the sound quality was excellent on the apex of the 1 and 2nd bends - the only problem was the choice of music which was a cross between an under 5's disco and a 65th wedding anniversary. There is absolutely no need to Agadoo or Hi Ho Silver Lining. Ever.
i love tractors
We were sat on the entrance to the 3rd bend, lower tier and it wasnt great! very loud and basey but couldnt really hear the commentator. The whole sound quality was pretty crap to be honest, also when they did the rider interviews we couldnt hear what was said! rubbish - racing was good though

ShirleyBee
Top tier 4th bend. Sound was appalling. Far too loud and very tinny. Have been to every GP at Cardiff so far and this was by far the worst sound system. Took my grandson to his first GP but due to the volume it was impossible to even ask him how he was enjoying it. Do they really have concerts here?
jasper wasp
i had no trouble hearing it . and it was in hi definition. and at home with a 48 inch tele'
SW17 Bulldog
Just remembered the crass and embarrasing "come on England" thing.
mcnabadam
Just remembered the crass and embarrasing "come on England" thing. The "Come on England" thing was completely naff and made me think of football lager louts. In fact it was useless cheesy music all the way through- Agadoo, Bay City Rollers, Glitterband and seemingly every embarrasing long forgotten early 70s chant. I was half way up on the second bend and the sound was way too loud, so loud it completely drowned out the airhorns and ruined any chance of making conversation with your friends about the racing. I ended up with a massive headache and everyone around me looked disgruntled. I'm all for an atmosphere, but didn't like the booming music or shouty announcer. Would've preferred the more subtle and knowledgeable style of someone like Bob Radford.
barrow boy
It was too loud!!! Up on the 3rd-4th bend we couldn't speak to each other between heats it was that bad. And my ears still haven't recovered from that bloody awful Killing Queen "tribute" act. How bad were they??? Not bad at all and yes it was much too loud. I have had toothache ever since. And my ears still haven't recovered from that bloody awful Killing Queen "tribute" act. How bad were they??? Very very bad, coupled with a completely inadequate sound system and a choice of music that was straight from a kids mini disco I thought the pre match entertainment and general meeting presentation to be very poor this year. machinn
I was sat on the top tier on the third bend and couldn't hear a thing. The sound was tinny, too loud and inaudible. I couldn't hear the riders names, winning times or any of the music. It wasn't until half way through the songs that I made out what was being played and it was useless trying to listen to the riders' interviews. The Queen tribute band sounded awful from where I was sitting as I couldn't make out the songs and there was a terrible echo when they sang. The music was a little out-dated and was much better last year, as was the PA system.
zonkers
We were top tier, middle of the back straight, and i thought the sound was fantastic. Yes, it was loud, but not too loud, and not distorted at all ! Personally, I like the Queen tribute band - thought they were great. I agree that the "come on England" thing was bad and did make me cringe.... Can't wait to book for next year !!
Seb the Snail
There is absolutely no need to Agadoo or Hi Ho Silver Lining. Ever. Fully agree about "Agadoo" however there's never anything wrong with a good blast of "Hi Ho"... just ask King Jamie! It did strike me that the sound was a bit down on quality, and though I quite like the rider specific tunes ("What's the Frequency Kenneth?" was a cracker) the "Come on England" chants were hideous. emerald tyke
We were sat between 1st and 2nd bends.....race/rider announcements and music were ok but once it went to large screen for rider interviews it was like listening to the "clangers"!!.....they all had mousey squeaky voices and sounded identical to each other and unable to hear exactly what the riders were saying. Hope its different next year, spoilt it a bit this year.

I disagree with that..............was in the top tier in the middle of the back straight and it was dreadful..................if it had been any good I could have commented on the band but it was very poor................. RP We were top tier in the middle of the back straight too and I'm with you on this one.. the rider names etc were alright (although when you're looking at a programme you know what's coming anyway and I wasn't listening for the times) but the interviews were awful, the music was crap quality (although from what I did hear that may be a good thing ) and Killer Queen could have been brilliant or abysmal for all I know. Had a fantastic view though
London Witch
We were on the upper tier on the 4th bend and the sound was terrible, but so was a lot of the music. Was a shame to miss out on the speedway side of the announcing though. We're taking a newbie along to Peterborough for the World Cup and I'm praying there will be no Agadoo, Okey Cokie or We love Speedway! duncrusadin
We were in the lower tier on the back straight opposite the start and could just about make out the riders' names and the race times. Everything else just left us shrugging our shoulders, along with everyone else around us.
