has anyone heard of any official news of any disciplinarys handed out to the two riders involved in the punch up on the track in the british g.p

in my opinion scotty did nothing wrong in defending his line while emil was trying to pass him.

i think emil started the whole incident by confronting scott and had spat his dummy out

im not defending scott for his retaliation as they are meant to be proffessional sportsman but the russian fuelled the fire

good job the russian had left his helmet on other wise scotty would of broke his jaw with his right hook!

and also emil,s team member was out of order with his actions in the tunnel !

how do other people feel about what happened ?

This is the second of your posts i have agreed with today. The other being,i prefered the Jackson 5 stuff to Michaels solo career.Think i better go a lie down before you say Nicolai is better than K.Hansen

I stand by Hansen being a better all round rider, but Nicolai is far more reliable and a fantastic gater!

I don't believe he did what you say.He was in front and has the right to ride where he wants within reason.

Within reason, but Scott looks around, and then goes even wider. That is more than just blocking a racing line in my eyes.

I agree with you, Emil lost his temper in last GP at Copenhagen (can't remember what about though!)

As I understand this is in the public domain - Scott was fined $500 and Emil $600

Both riders should have been thrown out of the meeting. We had a Hornets match a few weeks ago when our Sam Hurst had a punch up with Luke Priest. Sam was also attacked by Luke's father in the pits. The referee banned Sam from the rest of the meeting and fined him £300. The incident with Scott and Emil was on a far bigger stage but both riders should have received the same punishment as Sam Hurst. Or are we having double standards? After all, it's ONLY a National League rider and, as such, must be made an example of!!!:mad::mad:

Scott was no harder on that last corner than Emil was earlier in the race, this is the GPs you expect him to move over and wave Emil through!!! i think not - IMO Scott did nothing wrong during the race, and they were both to blame after the race but as i said in a previous comment heat of the moment emotions running high and all that stuff but that should have been the end of it. What is in my opinion totally unacceptable is what Holloway did going down the tunnel - and im pretty sure if he bumped into Scott away from the pits area he wouldnt be quite so brave.

I'm amazed more hasn't been made of Hans riding Emil's bike. This is an individual event and betting odds are fixed as such. Bookies set the odds on all sorts of factors, and if riders start swapping bikes i reckon bookies will stop laying odds. I know bikes are set up for the individual in many cases, but Kennett would not be 100/1 if Jason decided to lend him one of his rockets 2 minutes before the meeting. Those who backed Greg each-way, would have been hard done by when he was passed on the last lap by a lent machine. I'm sure the F.I.M. will put a stop to this!!!!!!

Hans Andersen was quick to acknowledge the role that Poole Castle Cover Pirate Daniel Davidsson and Russian Emil Sajfutdinov both played in his achievement of finishing third in the British Grand Prix at Cardiff. Explaining Davidsson's role Andersen explained "On Wednesday night my van was damaged in a crash and I would like to thank Daniel for stepping in and lending me his van for Cardiff, I really appreciated the gesture and having borrowed some equipment to even get to Cardiff I finished the night borrowing a bike from Emil (Sajfutdinov) after my Poole bike seized in my final ride. I only had one spare with me but Emil stepped forward in the semi-final to offer me his bike. I didn't have a great deal of time to make any changes to it to suit me better but it was a fantastic gesture and I am really delighted to have got third place in the end".

I heard about this crash on Thursday night, alledgedly involving his mechanic but it wasn't from someone I know so wasn't prepared to post before without knowing if it was true. If you noticed Hans' pit area it was pretty sparse in the pits with no usual pit board etc so can only wonder if most of his equipment for the meeting was on board the van, particularly if he was riding a league bike in the meeting. Seems like exceptional circumstances in this case.

Back from Cardiff late last night and work this morning what a great day we had and to meet up with the some of the Monarchs made it even better. I thought the track was superb and got to see some great racing. Down side was the awful PA system prob due to us sitting up in the gods but what the hell.

Nichols V Emil well Nichols got the better of him on the track and rode him hard out to the edge that’s exciting speedway imo then emil childishly ran Nichols into the air fence on the wind down lap. As far as I’m concerned emil started the trouble and Nichols defended himself. What really got my back up was when I watched the clip on YouTube and you see a thug that looks like one of emils team barge Nichols over in the tunnel and its Nichols that get pulled away by track officials I wonder if that twit has been punished by the officials for his assault on Nichols.

Thanks for that Rabbit, i certainly thought it was strange at the time, but this explains it.

I'm sure Emil will be pretty happy with that. Get your cheque book out daddy.

As for the gp, yet another round towards the world gating championships. On top of that the atmosphere was the flattest its ever been in my opinion. The entertainment was so bad it was almost an insult. The sound system must have cost about a tenner to put together.

On a positive note, Jason Crump was amazing! He didnt have to flight too hard with anybody as he was so quick form the gate, but still, to go unbeaten all night shows why he deserves this championship.

The Bomber and Nicki decidions could both have been all 4 back in my opinion. Yes there was contact, but why are they so reluctant to give 'first bend bunching' in gps lately?

And finally on Emil. I loved watching him in the first few gps, but after watching him having a go at Nicki last time out and then the fight with Scott i've completely lost any respect for him, and so have most of the rest of the crowd judging by the boos. I'm no fan of either Scott or Nicki, but neither of them did anything wrong.

Quite possibly will enjoy the 2010 gp from right where i'm sitting now

I watched the event from my Sofa and enjoyed every moment of it..until kids got noisey. My thought about the nichols n emil saga, is...nicholsrode a fair ride, no different to how NP would of done. Every point matters and nichols just rode hard. He didnt touch him and to be honest, Emil wasnt that close. Did we see NP have ago at HA when he dived up the inside of him? no, NP just ranted like he does. Didnt see him smash a monitor up this time tho lol. nichols n emil got fined...wow, if you show misconduct like that in football, your sent off and suspended, in all leagues from amature to proffesional.

This was a big event and as said in an earlier post at a premier league meeting, a rider was kicked out of the meeting for fighting. Riders have respect for each other out there on the track, cos if they didnt then there would be more crashes. The FIM should come down hard on riders that act in a way that was shown on sat. IE if say NP was to kick something in his pit area and broke a tv monitor (lol) then he should be given a warning by an official in the pits. If he was to do something else in the meeting and given a second warning then he should be replaced in his next ride by the track reserve. Some riders take there missfortune out on there next ride. This could be dangerous in these high pressured meetings and could cause an innocent rider to get hurt and end his season.

Appart from that incident, I thought the racing was good. Although I dont rate Chris Louis as an interviewer as he just doesnt have what charlie (think thats her name) has (apart from the obvious) She is always smiling and seems to be relaxed around the riders. Lets just hope she doesnt get too relaxed around some riders (ed kennet)and end up like a previous speedway interviewer LOL

so in your opinion is perfectly ok to verbally abuse but not physically?

think you are a somewhat mixed up person then!

scott just wanted to get back to the pits was stopped in doing so by emil ridding across him, but apprently thats ok?

i do agree something not right with scott and his two late appreances for the bees not good either.

Please read my post more carefully before you answer it.

Done so? Good. Now answer me this question:

Where did I say it was OK for any of this to happen? Nowhere, that's where. At no point in my post did I condone the actions of either rider, either before, during or after the fight. I merely stated that there was no actual fisticuffs until Nicholls pushed Sayfutdinov away, just verbals. I also stated that IMO Nicholls made the first physical assault - which from youtube is exactly what it looks like.

I may be "mixed up" but your obvious fondness for Nicholls has blinded you to the point where you read what you want to read, and not what was actually written.

Look carefully, Scotty's dirt deflector catches Emil's front wheel.

And if you also notice to add to this point that Emil is out of shape following the dirt deflector clip. You can also note that Nicholls looks at Emil the bulk of the way around the bend and if you look how he turns the bike it is aggressive and moving Emil further and further wider...

As for the pit crew incident, yes it was uncalled for, for the Mechanic to push Nicholls but Nicholls did not do the mature thing and walk away, instead he took himself to their level.
