Guest Ashie Smashy
Still not convinced about Charlie Webster, but impressed with Keith (forgot his second name/presenter), I just wish Mark Loram would smile. Have to disagee about Charlie Brummie Kev, I think she is improving with each meeting, very bubbly and enthusiastic and actually seems to have leaned about the sport a little, unlike the girl that did it last year. Pearson annoyed as ever, what we going on about when Harris was excluded about the ref waiting to stop the race. Like every speedway race the ref waits to see if the rider gets up. Pearson is too much of a Team GB fan to be a serious impartial commentator
Brummie Kev
Had to laugh at Ermolenko calling the FIM a 'Gentlemans Club'. , Also I loved it when the presentor said (along these lines) "Its looks like ING have Ironed out Ole Ollsen" regarding slick tracks, good on him for speaking his mind and sam aswell. Lets face it some of the tracks in this years GP have been far too slick. Tonights was good and safer which is more important. Mateusz
Emil vs Scott http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4BnQqrPN24 Not excusing Emil as he should have given up and not tried to talk to Nicholls.. but Nicholls elbowed him aside first, Emil replied and the fight started.. At least it was a proper one, not throwing gloves a la Pedersen

Trees
Yep, got my money's worth again from my SKY subscription by watching YET another GP on tv. Track was safe at least, now all they have to do is make it so you can use the whole track to race on, and do away with that ditch?? that Holta got caught in, as Loram noticed, nobody went over to it when Holta fell, perhaps they thought if they didn't look nobody would notice or summat, organisers continue to take the pee! Fantastic form by Crump to win, nobody will catch him now surely? Glad to see Nicholls getting better results at last this season. Are GP refs not allowed to give all-4-back decisions all of a sudden? Oh yeah and I hope SKY get rid of the stupid bleeding mole, can you imagine F1 or motogp putting up with a bloody cartoon mole popping up on their coverage??? Ghostwalker
i think after seeing the video that both Emil and NIcholls were to blame should be awared a one gp ban instead of the silly fine they got; $600 for the ruskie and $500 for the global superstar. about the refs decisions tonight well he wasn't consistent. if he excluded Chris when hans more or less fell on his own Hans should have been treated the same way when he rammed Nicki. Bobbin' Along
I can't see Crumpy winning this time . Oh well, what do I know? The track was the best I've seen at Cardiff, with some good racing - for once. Shame I had to watch it at home. I'm not a Pedersen fan, but even I thought he was hard done by this time. The ref was inconsistent - the incident was virtually identical to the one that Harris got excluded for, so it followed that Andersen should have been excluded too. Just watched the Prize Fight after Ht 5 again - Sayfutdinov was out of order having such a go at Nicholls, but Nicholls actually "threw the first punch" as it were - he pushed Sayfutdinov, who then retaliated. Up to that point it was just verbals. Pair of big girls' blouses. Maybe we should award an annual "Handbag Trophy"? Leigh was very disappointing tonight. He just doesn't seem to be able to get it right this year even though he's spectacular in the domestic scene. Poor bloke. Crumpy deserved the win - he was superb. Being away from the British scene certainly hasn't mucked up his form, has it?

If its true and they are fined that then its absolutly pathetic. I agree they should be banned for a Gp, you cannot condone violence like that in professional sport. end of. Brummie Kev
Great GP, posted my review in another thread. spin king
If both riders have only been fined then that is not enough, okay speedway is a high charged sport, but there is no excuse for fighting on the track in full view of the crowd. Fines will not mean anything to them especially Sayfutdinov, what is needed is ban's to send out a clear message that this sort of action will not be tolerated. I would give out the following bans; Sayfutdinov; 1 Grand Prix meeting ban for Ungentlemanly conduct. 1 Grand Prix meeting ban for failing to control his pit crew. Nicholls; 1 Grand Prix meeting ban for Ungentlemanly conduct. The only way to stop this kind of thing happening is through bans.

M08
I don't mind it. It brings a bit of excitement into things, livens it up, and as long as no one gets seriously hurt, I don't see the problem

DK Rides Again
Mods please leave this in general discussions. I think it says a lot about the level that speedway stands at in the world of sport that, in a major televised event, two riders can have a fist fight on the track and stay in the meeting; if I were Scott Nicholls I would've walked away, if I were Sayfutdinov, I'd be careful with that sort of attitude, in case I found someone a bit more experienced who didn't mind putting me in the fence. Can't see the problem with Andersen using another rider's bike and crew; they're all meant to be built within the same set of rules and the best people to look after a bike are the people that normally do, and he explained in interview that his main bike packed up and his reserve wasn't up to the job. Not a major fan of Pedersen, but I thought he was seriously hard done by, given the decisions the ref had made previously; I thought both of the incidents in that heat should've been all riders back, but given that Harris was excluded for his prang, then the only conclusion was that Andersen would be as well. I imagine he didn't bother to complain because he knew it wouldn't do him any good, and he seems to be resigned to the fact that things aren't going his way and this isn't his year; maybe adopting that attitude will take some of the pressure off him and his results will improve.
