Sotonian
Agreed. You don't pay to enter a shop, which is effectively what this is!

jaybea39
Agreed. You don't pay to enter a shop, which is effectively what this is! Obviously the room in the Cardiff rugby club has to be rented out and as you can imagine this does not come cheap....therefore im afraid the minimal £1 charge is to cover costs jb

Obviously the room in the Cardiff rugby club has to be rented out and as you can imagine this does not come cheap....therefore im afraid the minimal £1 charge is to cover costs jb It won't cover costs because it stops people going in and spending, I and many others dont bother with it. Would you pay to go into ASDA, they have massive costs to pay, maybe they should implement £5.00 door charge

Unfortunately, we are not quite on the same scale as ASDA, but if we ever do get that big, we will happily waive the £1 admission fee. As jb says, costs have to be covered and I think £1 is reasonable.

It will be my first SGP and I'm looking forward to seeing what is on offer at the 'shop'. I appreciate the effort people have made to make the merchandise available. The previous posts complaining about the £1.00 charge have brightened my day though. Each to their own. Can I ask if the 'shop' only sells things for the SGP or if it has other speedway items available? Cheers Prentice
Seb the Snail
Jeepers Creepers! I know there's a credit crunch going on, but if people are really that worried about £1 then they really shouldn't be in Cardiff for GP weekend! Best of luck to the guys putting on the show. Sandie
Do you have flags for sale what price will they be many thanks Styler - you have asked about flags on another thread but I still cant work out what you need. Do you want a Country Flag ie: Australia, England, Poland or is the flag with the SGP Logo on it. If you can let us know that, we (forum members) may be able to help you further
T.N.T.
There are enough Flags and T Shirts to do with the GP's on sale through out the town, this fayre often has some very good stuff on sale from old programmes to jackets, DVD's and special rider merchandise. I remember last year there was a Jason Crump stall in there. Having said that, the venue is very small and its a shame a bigger venue couldn't put this on and make their money from beer sales as there is quite a few on the pints before tapes go up. I will be popping in for sure, hope to pick up a few things.
