Very proud of Seba tonight. Completely written of before the series started, but certainly not discraceing himself. Coming up with wins at each round..Keep it up mate.

thank the lord for v+, watched that in 42 minutes, and started to get bored, love how the riders like the track at practice, then come the meeting, its all changed.

The rider liked it in the actual GP too, the ones interviewed did anyway. The riders like easy ride, no bumps, ruts and slick. The fans like passing.

thinking about it after the lack of passing tonight I should be in enough of a raging mood for a vitriolic diatribe (;)) but tbh I just feel numb now.......... I wonder if its all a plan to make the airfence advertising more effective to us in our lobotomised states? :P

tbh I think this is probably why some of us were kicking off after Prague and Leszno because we knew the temp tracks were coming...... and they are either rut city or slicksville...... and neither is satisfying

found a couple of things interesting with the commentary tonight.......... Nigel mentioning Ole at every opportunity..... to defend the guy or to remind everyone who is responsible?? ...................................... and also Keith Heuwen kept suggesting that there was an issue with Emil's machinery

well....I do not know what you getting at spook about Ole in a another thread...I think I am entitled to my opinion... And that it is all it is……as I am sure you will appreciate...and respect...

the only thing... that I could comment on................................................ is that Ole is a three times world champion....and not a double... :)

plus.... he was close to winning two more...but I guess luck was not on his side... on those occasions...

did you really mean......Keith Huewen?

Nigel lives in the 70s and 80s, and never missed the chance to name the stars of yesteryear. The stuff from Keith is refreshing because I am willing to bet that the usual 'suspects' at Sky would not have told us the 'rumour' had Keith not brought it up.

Lack of passing tonight surprised me, in past GPs, the track was so slick nobody got near enough to pass, yet tonight they were all over each other but were unable to pass, so was the track to narrow?

the one racing line was too narrow...... just like Prague.......... there were glimpses of an outside line but nothing to rely on getting you down the straight before your nose was chopped off

yeah they did do something on Ole starting the Danish success......... but no this felt different Ashie....... at one point he mentioned Ole and said something along the lines of 'observing everything he has built' ....... and there were other references to him which seemed needless at the time............................ maybe it was just me but I felt a point was being made

ok slightly confusing with the cross thread replying but so be it

you are more than entitled to your opinion Jim and no one said you werent...... the point of the matter actually though was that I was ASKING you what your opinion is because you keep trying to hint at something while not actually saying anything........... if there is something to back any possible point of view then it may help to say it lol otherwise im not sure there is any point of view

many thx for the spelling correction Jim  and the correction about his 3rd world title ....... that then makes:

anyone would think that he wasnt a triple world champion and didnt know what this sport needed at its highest level if he cannot get the right message across to the men in suits........or indeed that someone who has lifted the title three times would be happy to be remembered for being associated with an era that prioritised tv companies or sponsors over the racing itself!.................

doesnt that just make it worse?

Try them now Dave as they have finished being processed.

Success!! Thanks Heaps. :approve:

Tell you what tho' Youngy, a distinct lack of start tarts on all those clips from Denmark.

Also (whingeing Aussies!!) in the second semi I didn't see what caused Nicki to Kummagutza - Divine Intervention perhaps?

Either way Nicki seems to be coming unstuck this year with his well-documented habits of trying to take the opposition out or staying down to stop a race.

Have the refs finally got him sussed?

Plenty of shots of the "start tarts" on Sky tonight, and IMHO they weren't worth looking at, so you were saved from that sight Dave :D

As for Nicki....Just like earlier in the night, he had a puncture in the rear...but this time it was his tyre and not his butt! :D

did I see that they had actually managed to make their blown kisses part of their routine? ...... and i'm sure one of them thought she was carrying a kalashnikov instead of a flag the way she was holding it

personally i'm always disappointed when I dont see the one in red in this clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rId7i9ddb4c ...... she is enough to make anyone forget that its a passing sport

What a dull GP and dull winner. Last thing this series needs is Crump to win it. Emil really croaked when it mattered, inexperience.

The sooner these old rider clear out of it the better. At least Adams knows his time is up, and hopefully we will see the back of Hancock this year.

Lets hope that Cardiff is better than this rubbish.

:blink: Hancock is still a very worthy GP rider and capable of mixing it! :approve:

Not sure what is going on....I know that it has been said before that Ole thinks that slick tracks make for more interesting TV action as the riders often stay close together....If that IS the case, I really can't agree with that approach. There is no interest in seeing guys racing close together when you know that there aint a hope of any passing going on...

I was shocked by Crump's praise at the end...Was he being serious? "What a show"? lol....ermmmm....NO! Epic fail on the "show" front!

Not sure why Ole was getting so many name-checks tonight....Hopefully it WAS to highlight that he is the man responsible, but I doubt it.

As for Emil's bikes.....Would be very surprised if there was anything amiss there. As Ash said in the interview, he gives good feedback and knows what he wants. That makes a big difference I am sure. His lack of weight probably doesn't hurt either ;)

completely agree Greg is not just a class act he is actually one of the more exciting guys

and despite the false dawn in the first couple of gp's the top 6 has quite a familiar look to it with the exception of the man from mildura being replaced by Emil.... I see little difference tbh and cant see it changing by the end of the season

LOL I might be wrong but I reckon even the most positive forum members will struggle to come out with superlatives after that GP

haha yeah it did stand out a bit when he said that......... I would have hoped for a more honest account but the guy is obviously very happy with his lot at the moment

If that is the reason for the dire tracks then yeah I agree it is a flawed approach and just as poor as the other possible reasons bandied around

Well hopefully it won't become something that is left to fester as that wont do anyone any good

Agree apart from that "one off" we seen in the last GP  Greg is always smiling and is a great addition to the GPs he has to go down as one of my all time favourite riders :approve: , it will be a sad day when he hangs his Kevlars up :(

:blink: Please tell me you have been taken in by "Ole's media show" and are not talking about "on track"!

Greg seems to be a really nice guy, but it's a long time since I saw him do anything exciting on the track....Nicki, yes. AJ, yes. Tomek, yes....even Scotty, yes....but, Greg, no!

Well hopefully it won't become something that is left to fester as that wont do anyone any good
Agree entirely. If there are any doubts about the engines that Ash is providing Emil, they gotta be checked very quickly even if it is just to stop the rumours.

A lot of comments on the Sky coverage that the World Championship is all about "consistency"..

That's odd - in the past it used to be about excellence...:cry:

Ermmm....The two aren't mutually exclusive in my mind!

These days you have to be consistently excellent across several matches, rather than just delivering 5 excellent rides on one track on one day!

Boring gp, made worse by the fact I had the one bet tonight and that was on The russian who rides on a Polish licence! very interesting of Huewen to mention the oversized engine rumour.

Maybe he mentioned it because he realised the racing was boring and thought it would deflect attention from the lack of on track action

Seems to have worked to a degree
