T.N.T. Posted June 21, 2009 Report Share Posted June 21, 2009 Piotr Pynszny ? - Rode for Halifax and crashed at Wolves, knocking half the floodlights out and the meeting had to be called off. Marek Cieslak was a favourite and liked Plech and Jancarz but the classic Pole during the 70's was Jerzy Kowalski who arrived at Wolves as a promising young talent. He turned out to be about 40, wore a terrible wig and found it hard to do four laps without falling. He didn't last too long, but at Wolves he will always be rememered. slickmick Posted June 28, 2009 Report Share Posted June 28, 2009 The only thing you could accuse Edward Jancarz(Wimbledon) of was unpredictable about when he was going to arrive at the start of each season. Once here you realised why he was called Steady Eddie. If you wanted thrills and spills Zenon Plech or Andy the whoosh(his name was lots of zys's) at Hackney. I remember this remarkable guy riding for the Polish test teams in Britain back in the mid-sixties. He had a few off-track specialties too.
