hagonshocker
Sulli 4 OZ? .... to be honest i think his day has gone & the Aussies need to blood some kids in like GB do...keep the top 2 of Crumpie/Leigh with Holder obviously...then has to be Schlein so far so obvious....then thats where i go bold and throw in Darcy!...tbh as much as i like em i dont really rate Watto or Shieldsy on the world stage..and given a couple of years it will be a situation of no Leigh or Jason and tbh the likes of the last 2 arent goin to be there replacements imho...more yer Corys and Todds to go with your Schleiny's Noddy's and Darcy's..as for team GB dont really care! lol Edited June 14, 2009 by hagonshocker
Ghostwalker
hagonshocker, PK said last year that he will not ride the SWC unless in case of injuries. I think that its time for the youner ones ro take the call. the n5 trio has about the same scoring level but i think i'd go for Nermark. spook
for me again it all comes down to the way that Leszno is setup and if there are any nasty suprises for 3 of the teams or not come final day if we are talking about a Leszno with some dirt then I think that Australia could push the Poles............ if we are talking about a gating fest then it will be between the Danes and Poles someone mentioned Darcy Ward earlier ..... and of course Batch should also be in the frame...... to some extent boycey has quite a nice problem with so many riders at his disposal who could either do a good job or could be getting nice experience ahead of their inevitable International careers
barrow boy
Most posters........don't have the job.I can't see 5 British riders better than Scott. Are there 2 riders better than Scott?I think it would be total madness to leave him out.I can't wait for all the posts about which 2 British riders should replace Scott and Chris in the GP's ................. No problem, Kennett & Woffinden.
Blazeaway
No problem, Kennett & Woffinden. Bwah ha ha ha!!! If you think Chris and Scott are bad, these two would be even worse. Tai will be a GP rider one day, but he is nowhere near ready. Eddie will never be a GP rider IMO. Edited June 15, 2009 by Blazeaway
spook
I can only assume that your opinion is based on some kind of tribal feeling then blazeaway as Ed is consistently improving not only his average but also visibly as a rider I can name a lot of riders who will never be in the grand prix series but they certainly wont include guys improving and still young I actually think Ed is approaching the point where he wouldnt be out of his depth ........ however with the current system it would probably be better if he waited another year to make sure................................. its still way too early for the others though and Tai may be a prodigy but it would just be asking for it to scar him to drop him into the competition anytime soon............ not to mention that Lewis is more advanced than him this season anyway we always seem to look at the generation directly underneath though dont we? In fairness to them these arent the guys to be looking at for big things .......... the Danes didnt when they found themselves in a similar position to us....... neither did the Poles before Hampel etc came through................. they both started right from the grass roots ..... concentrating on and nurturing them through It feels like we have had a cycle of this for the last 25 years............. our national team is made up of 4 8/9 point riders with us scrabbling around for the 5th................ I am completely certain that this will continue until there is a movement at management level to sort this for the future
Ghostwalker
Spook, neither Kennett or Woffinden has been Particulary successful in Sweden this season.. On the contrary both have been quite mediocre in Sweden so far. Kennett have scored 10p from 3 meetings (12 heats) and tai have 14p from 3 meetinsg (13 heats) and atleast one of the meetings he have ridden as a reserve. I am sure they will improve in the next couple of years but neither of them are GP material at the moment and probably not the next 1-2 years. I have no doubts at all that Ed will get into the GP's............. I guess the question is how prepared will he be when he does

davidba
Which Poles are likely to be riding?Gollob, Hampel, Holta surely, but who else,Ullamek, Kasprzak,Walasek, Jagus, Balinski(That would be fun!), or will they adopt Sayfutdinov to ensure victory! UnitedUnitedUnited
would like to see: Gollob, Hampel, Jagus, Holta, KK them 4 are guarantees IMO, then either Ulamek/Walasek or maybe a shock, Zabik/Swiderski
samthepalaceman2
I would not be surprised if King is used instead of Bridger at P'boro but then Bridger used at the race off wherever it is. I don't envy the decision on whether to include Scott or not as Lyons will have his critics either way even before a wheel is turned. cgcoombes
My team for peterborough would be: 1. Daniel King 2. Lee Richardsson 3. Oliver Allen 4. Chris Harris 5. Scott Nicholls I'm be surprised if Rob lyon left out nicholls, harris or richardsson, which leaves two places up for grabs. Danny King rode at peterborough for a couple of seasons, should have a good set up for the place. Olly Allen always produces a good performance at peterborough and is a fast starter. Kennett has openly admitted that he doesnt like the peterborough track and has struggled on a number of occassions there. Woffinden is a gd prospect, but in my opinion is not as good round peterborough than any of the 5 named above, and the same with bridger who is wild and will throw points away. Bagpuss
I don't envy the decision on whether to include Scott or not as Lyon will have his critics either way even before a wheel is turned. I quite agree, he will never keep everyone happy. On current form however Nicholls shouldn't be anywhere near the starting five. Still looks like it should be Harris, Kennett, Rico, Woffinden & Bridger to me.
