Lis
But swedish ref Christer Bergström.. FIM has asked Wojciech Grodzki to have a day off because they are scared that the pressure he has been under last few days and the pressure he will be under in the Copenhagen gp will be to much, so to protect him they have moved him to a gp later in the season .. Mateusz
And now I'm wondering what NP will say if the Swedish ref excludes him... or shall I say what bone he'll break this time
Niclas
And now I'm wondering what NP will say if the Swedish ref excludes him... or shall I say what bone he'll break this time I believe Christer Gardell is the referee who was in charge for the race between Lejonen and Elit Vetlanda a couple of weeks ago in the Swedish Elitserien. In one of the heats he excluded NP for causing Jason to fall. Nicki was very upset about that decision and said to the Gardell "You know what is going to happend if you continue like this". I have no idea what he meant and no reporters asked him about it. But I am sure NP and CG aint best buddies. But according to the Danish newspaper Jylland Posten its Christer Bergström who will replace Grodzki.
iris123
This decision vindicates Nicki i think.I hope we see some very red Danish knockers now Dekker of course seems to be just about the biggest knocker i have seen for a while

In Cardiff he conned the referee twice, so the ref's have still got one to get back.

That is your opinion. But it shows the human side of Ole Olsen. He has obviously sat down with Nicki and listened to his complaint.......and i guess came to the conclusion Nicki,i and a lot of others did.Namely Grodzski was wrong..........well done Ole

Mateusz
I think FIM (or BSI or whoever is in charge there actually) should be relentless and not listen to the moans of some Danish diva... Olsen and NP are just both equally pathetic, IMHO. Edited June 4, 2009 by Mateusz

"favours"????? Someone has to be in a position to listen to complaints from the riders.I think it only fair that in any job there is a system in place where such things can be calmly and impartially investigated.Someone has to have the job.And i guess that is Olsen. It isn't easy to find top officials from Argentina,Ecuador or Papua New Guinea in our sport. That is why i guess a British ref was in charge of the Team U21 meeting this weekend in Germany where GB were competing. And there were a number of complaints on the net that he was for instance letting the British rider back in after a first bend fall, but excluded an Australian rider for the same thing in another heat....... spook
It isn't easy to find top officials from Argentina,Ecuador or Papua New Guinea in our sport. that is very true.... however it would be easier to find guys with the experience from Finland and Italy to name just two off the top of my head............... that is not to say that they wont be having more representation in the GP's but it is to say that they dont currently... and they certainly are not from one of the major nations and it just so happens that Armando Castagna is already in the FIM and I believe last season was responsible for the world U21 competitions In actual fact the quoted report mentions nothing about Ole Olsen and only mentions 'FIM' ....... read into that what you will .....but I translated the name 'Ole Olsen' as he is a master at ducking and diving.......................... even ignoring this issue....... in fact even ignoring anything that smelled fishy around Ole in this job (and there has been a lot!) ........... speedway has an undesirable history of dodgy goings on that is going to follow it for some time now until memories fade............. that is not going to happen while there is a guy in a position of power where he can seemingly do whatever he likes....... and is from one of the top speedway nations................. it makes no sense and for the record yes I agree that a British ref shouldnt have reffed that meeting............. however and heres the thing with this particular issue......... Olsen/FIM have just publically pulled down the ref's pants in front of everyone over what? Over a very close decision......... no sport replaces an official over decisions that were close.... they replace them over outrageous decisions where impartiality and eyesight are being discussed Maybe it wasnt Ole and it was this guy called 'FIM' ....... maybe the ref is feeling under pressure from this militant danish group on facebook ( ) ......... maybe speedway is as squeeky clean as can be and always has been in the GP's ................ maybe the people running the GP's do everything in their power to protect the name and integrity of the competition
iris123
Maybe...... But it probably isn't clever to give any ref 2 GP meetings in a row, anyway Unless he already had a holiday in Scandinavia booked for this period
