T.N.T.
Think this years GP series has been a very tight series in many ways as there are good quality riders trying to get into the semi finals. True, Jason Crump is running away with the title, but when you see riders like Nicki Pedersen, Hans Andersen and Leigh Adams struggle this year, it shows that the series has many good riders in it. Leigh Adams has been a brilliant rider in the GP series, but this year time is really telling on him and comments made during last nights GP makes it obvious that Leigh will not be in the 2010 Series, even if he makes it into the top 8. At Latvia, he clearly let Jason Crump through and again last night. With riders like Chris Holder, Tai Woffinden, Matej Zagar and many many more young riders coming through, it will be a shame to see a GP without Leigh in, but he has been one of the best over the years and will take with him a very good record. GRAND PRIX HIGHLIGHTS: Challenge Champion: 1995, 1998; Scandinavian GP Champion: 2002, 2007, 2008; Slovenian GP Champion: 2003; Swedish GP Champion: 2004, 2007; Latvian GP Champion: 2007; European GP Champion: 2008. Adams may never have won the World Championship, his closest effort being second place overall in the 2007 series.
johnno4
I think Leigh has accepted that he will never be World Champion after slipping back to 6th last year. In 2007 he finished 2nd but that was also the year he had that bad crash at Reading, After that I think he became more cautious not wanting to finish a brilliant career through injury. Last night the track was a joke, they only rode because it was a GP. The only gate that was any good was the inside, Leigh had two outside gates to start with. Two last places, end of GP. Phlipphlopp
Gotta say its a shame, Mr Clean has been a fantastic rider for god knows how long, but he aint done for yet hopefully.Never been a world champion, but one of the best , most consistent riders there has ever been. The Jimmy White of the speedway world perhaps ? hyderd
A truly remarkable professional who has never let anyone down regardless of who he rides for. Long may that continue in the EL.

Hammer
Do you have to shout? Always said Leigh is too nice a rider to have become World Champ. He doesn't even look bothered in this year's GP and after 3 pretty mundane rounds he'll just go through the motions now until the end of the SGP season. please dont shout at us He isn't shouting he's typing a message in capital letters we are on the internet and on a forum..... both have universal levels of etiquette that apply .... and anyone that posts in caps is considered to be shouting.......... I personally agree as it is unpleasant to read no idea who you are.....thanks for the words of wisdom but I think i'll rely on my long and extensive experience of the internet p.s. are you sure that was the quote you wanted to use? Maybe you should leave the house more often??? - a long and extensive experience of the internet isn't always healthy, it leads to people finding it unpleasant to read capital letters

kaiser
Decline of Leigh Adams!!!! Oh come on, Leighs been a great great rider, its just age(it catches up with us all in the end!!!). Ok hes not the top gp rider of past years, but hes still a top top rider, been a credit to the EL/British League and Swindon. He could still captain Swindon to there first league title in decades. Yeah youve really ley yourself go man!!!!
