BOBBATH
This is the opposite of the most travelled riders thread-think this would only apply to riders in the 50's , 60's.,only one I can think of is Les Owen for Coventry-but am not sure. Am I right about "Muscles" and can anyone else think of others-caveat they must have had a career of more than one season.
Parsloes 1928 nearly
The ultimate surely HAS to be Ronnie Moore.. From, what, 1950-ish to 1972 and over here only ever a Wimbledon Don...!!

Ronnie Moore (apart from two appearances for Coventry right at the end of his career, both of which arguably be said were guest appearances) rode only for Wimbledon from 1950 to 1971. Freddie Williams and Tommy Price were Wembley riders all their careers. Phil Clarke for Norwich only.
frenchy
Wasn't Bob Kilby a Swindon only rider other than when forced to move by Rider Control ?
25yearfan
The great Tony 'Shrimp' Davey only rode for Ipswich 1970-1980.
mervjankefanclub
If one may be so bold as to include wee Martin McKinna, who only rode for Glasgow from 1982 until 1991 earning himself a Testimonial in the process. While he may not have been quite as successful as his brothers he was always a favourite of mine and was particularly entertaining around Craighead Park Sadly too many injuries stunted his progress. I am sure there must be quite a few at National League level, Rob Henry and Mick Bates at Mildenhall spring to mind Edited May 7, 2009 by mervjankefanclub
The Third Man
As far as iknow bob paulson only had one league team, sheffield as did bengt larsson
mervjankefanclub
The magical Erik Gundersen. You could say Bruce Penhall too, but it could hardly be classed as a career, could it? I dont think big Barney Kennet rode for anyone else but Canterbury. Thats assuming doubling up in the BL doesnt count. I dont even think he got a Testimonial did he? Pirate Nick
Pete Smith Poole 1963 -1977 3427.5 pts Not sure if he had a year at Rye House though.
chunky
Actually, there are going to be quite a few who stayed with just one club during a relatively short British career, such as Bruce Penhall. Do we impose a minimum British career, say 10 years? If it's less than that but at least five years from start to finish, those that spring to mind (assuming I'm correct) are : Edward Jancarz, Zenon Plech, Rick Timmo (I think), Odd Fossengen, Andy Meldrum... BOBBATH
I forgot about Mike Keen, can't agree with Bob Kilby because he rode for Exeter(reason doesn't matter).Speaking of Reason what about Johnny Reason for Coventry-also can't believe I omitted Ronnie Moore, Phil Clarke ,Fred Williams and Tommy Price. What about Ian Williams did he ride for anyone but Swindon??
chunky
can't agree with Bob Kilby because he rode for Exeter ...and Oxford... Just thought of Nathan Simpson and Dennis Mallett, and what about Peter Reading and Dave Durham? Steve
frigbo
Nathan Simpson rode for Wimbledon and Eastbourne. Pete Reading is spot on, barring 1 appearance for Swindon as a 2nd division fill in. Not sure I agree with Ronnie Moore either. I don't see how his matches for Coventry don't count as he wasn't racing for Wimbledon at the time and therefore can't be a guest surely? Tiddler Turner rode a few meeting for Boston (which was really an extension of the King's Lynn promotional umbrella at the time!) in his last season!
