BigFatDave
Oi! Its like this squall; in any relationship, just as in life, down every track you travel, be they smooth or rough, you'll come to a fork in the road; that's when you have to ask yourself "What the fork should I do? Which forkin' way should I go?" Or even "What would BFD do?" (...............and sometimes, "Wear the Fox Hat!" - sorry, wrong joke! ) As for me, I'm always hangin' out for a fork. T.N.T.
Got back together with the missus and what's one of the 1st things she says? "When is Cardiff? I want to go with you"  How do I get out of this one? My Mrs doesn't like Speedway but this year as we have been married 10 years, I promised to take her out ...... so Cardiff it is .... hopefully followed up by Bydgozcz in August ;)   I will be travelling down on the morning, pretty early from the Midlands and will be coming back around an hour or so after it finishes. If anyone needs a lift from the midlands and is willing to put towards the petrol .... send me a pm
BigFatDave
Has anyone talked Sandman into mooring up in the Bay that weekend yet?????????????? Hey Shazz - are you any relation to our Aunty Sharon? Â AUNTY SHARON Â Â A teacher gave her class of 11 year olds an assignment to get their parents to tell them a story with a moral at the end. Â The next day the kids came back and one by one told their stories. Â Karl said, 'My father's a farmer and we have a lot of egg laying chooks. One time we were taking our eggs to market in a basket on the front seat of the car when we hit a big bump in the road and all the eggs went flying and broke and made a mess.' Â 'What's the moral of the story?' asked the teacher. Â 'Don't put all your eggs in one basket!' Â 'Very good,' said the teacher. Â Next little Emily raised her hand and said, 'Our family are farmers too. But we raise chooks for the meat market. One day we had a dozen eggs, but when they hatched we only got ten live chicks and the moral to this story is: 'Don't count your chickens before they're hatched'.' Â 'That was a fine story Emily. BFD, do you have a story to share?' Â 'Yes. My dad told me this story about my Aunty Sharon. Aunty Sharon was a flight engineer on a plane in the Korean War and her plane got hit. She had to bail out over enemy territory and all she had was 3 bottles of Bundy rum, a machine gun and a machete. She drank all the rum on the way down so it wouldn't break and then she landed right in the middle of 100 enemy troops. She killed seventy of them with the machine gun until she ran out of bullets. Then she killed twenty more with the machete until the blade broke. And then she killed the last ten with her bare hands.' Â 'Good heavens,' said the horrified teacher, 'what kind of moral did your father tell you from that horrible story?' Â 'Stay the f*ck away from Aunty Sharon when she's been on the piss. Â Â Â

MrBeanti
I wonder what the crowd will be like at the GP this year, surely its not going to be bigger than previous years!! I would put my money on it being smaller by quite a few thousand! With the prices of the tickets, the way the GP's have gone so far this year and the obvious being the economic climate. Its not the sort of event family or friends can now "out of the blue" go too because they have an empty weekend coming up because it takes a while to get a loan out Also they only seem to advertise this event during speedway programmes on sky! Im quite sure that over 90% of people watching that programme know about the GP, where it is etc and telling us how exciting and thrilling it is isnt going to excite majority of people who watch speedway most weeks! What is everyone else's opinion?

What is everyone else's opinion? I think the whole GP series is living on borrowed time to be honest . You are correct though , i fully expect this year's crowd to be a bit down compared to the last 3 or 4 years . I shall be making the pilgrimage once again though .
