Recommended Posts

does anyone know much about emil saf i personally am not famillar with him and do you think he will be up to this

i imagine he rides in poland or sweden .I think that it will be an interesting season here are my views

nikki pedersen the one they all have to beat

jason crump will still win gp but past his best

gollob the great entertainer brilliant but lacks consistency

andersen my tip for world champion exciting huge potential huge talent

hancock great gater will always win races but not many gp

adams likeable great on tracks with good surface poor when it ruts up

johnson massive potential bikes always seem fast but last year was poor needs to step up

nicholls talented but poor gating still his downfall

harris poor last year bikes seem slow needs to believe in himself was cardiff a freak result

emil saf who knows i dont

lindgren fast on his day but that isnt that often at this level still young though

bjerre good in elite league but probably not good enough at this level

cant remeber who else is in it but hans andersen has to be a cracking bet at 12/1

Emil is without a shadow of doubt one of the brightest prospects in world speedway for quite some time. He's already been in the Russian SWC squad for the last couple of years.

Take a look at what he did to career Cov rider Billy Janirro and Simon Stead, who has in the past named Cov as one of his fave tracks. I don't think he'd been to Brandon before this visit in the SWC 2007. I'm pretty sure he was just 17 at the time.

Emil Saifutdinov won World U21s Championship in 2007 and 2008.From what i saw of him last season at Bydgoszcz,he was absolutely sensational(just ask Lawrence off this forum!).Capable of beating anyone in this years GPs.Really wish he was riding in Britain this season.

I'm so excited about Emil being in the GP's this season..... he is everything that makes a rider good to watch ........... i'm just suprised Noddy isnt there with him this season

I saw a picture from last weekend today from Poland. It showed Ashley Holloway, Carl Blomfeldt and Suzy the mechanic all in the same team colours. With the knowledge that Trick has also his fingers on Emils teams buttons, there might be a tiny chance that Emil might shake a few feathers...

Was it not said somewhere that he was offered a wild card for this season but turned it down 'cos he didn't feel ready?:unsure:

I think Emil will actually win a GP this year and if he stays clear of injury, he could challenge for a top 5 position. Not too sure what he will make of Cardiff, but at Bydgoszcz he could break the Gollob domain and become the youngest ever GP winner.

He is still only 19 and wont be 20 till the 26th October this year, so he can win two more World U-21 titles. Tai Woffinden is a great prospect, but this kid puts Tai's achievements into the shadows.

Nicki, Crumpy, AJ and Andersen will be the top four, but I put Emil ahead of Adams, Gollob, Lindgren, Holta, Nicholls and Hancock who may find this year a lot tougher with these young riders now having a season under their belts.

Emil won't win two more u-21 world championship titles as a few weeks he announced he had resigned from taking part in this tournament anyone - he wants to focus on SGP now.

Well the bookies seem to like him.

N Pedersen 11/10

J Crump 5/2

H Andersen 10/1

G Hancock 11/1

T Gollob 11/1

A Jonsson 12/1

L Adams 12/1

E Satfutdinov 33/1

F Lindgren 66/1

R Holta 66/1

S Nicholls 66/1

Dont think you can argue with that considering he is 19 and is in his first GP series.

Definatley worth an E/W flutter as he should be close to Adams, AJ and Gollob

Still a whole two weeks to go  ......... tick tock

Any news on a GP Competition this year ..... Anyone ?

As for Holder it is true that he was offered the Wild Card but didnt feel ready for the GP series. All i can say is it shows the lad is in it for the long term and he made a very brave decision. Many would it and rush in then be totally out of their depth. To wait another season at league level bringing in money and upgrading his gear is only going to benefit him when he does enter the series.

yep its understandable why he made his decision Snyper but I cant help feeling that he already became one of the world's best last season.......... this cannot be a decision based on skill and capability and more one based on gathering the machinery and personnel required...........
