Blazeaway
But if they cannot pay him, and he won't accept their new offer - What more can be done? Thousands of people accross the world have had their contracts terminated or re-written, Speedway riders are no different. Nicki is different though in view of the fact he doesnt need the money as such.
Mateusz
Latest rumours say Rzeszow (Division 1) are very interested in adopting Pedersen. He used to ride for them before he moved to Czestochowa, for 2 years (2006-07)... Do they have enough money to get him? We'll see I just don't want any Ekstraliga club to sign him now (very impossible to happen, anyway) as this would shake the balance of the powers in the league. However, unless Hancock agrees to ride for Cz-wa on new financial terms (he didn't ride today and they got shamed at Z.Góra), they are the first ones to fall down... and I'll be shocked unless they do. PS. All in all, I would not generalise too much as for this Czestochowa & NP case. Cz-wa are in quite a deep sh!t at the moment because their strategic sponsor has withdrawn but the general shape of the league is not bad and there's a really, really long way to finish in the place where the British league is now... which I really hope will never happen. Most clubs do count every single zloty and the line-ups are still strong. Hopefully, Cz-wa has been an exception only Edited April 6, 2009 by Mateusz

I saw pictures of Hancock from this season and that company was all over his kevlars. Even that Nicki doesn't need the money and could still ride in Denmark and the GP's, being on 30 meetings less for a season compared to many others will DEFINATELY affect his form in the GP. jim the whipper
Just seen elsewhere that Nicki P has been axed by his Polish club, anyone able to verify this, and if so is this another pointer to the mess that speedway world-wide is in as a result of the recession? How many of the superstars that fled these shores this winter may find that they've jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire? I hope all of them do. and I hope they are not made welcome to come back .serves them right greedy B******s
