TwoMinuteWarning
For any philatelists out there, "Rider of the Millenium" Ivan Mauger has been honoured in a new set of stamps from New Zealand. He is part of a 5-stamp set called NZ Champions of World Motorsport, details are here Hope they will give Ronnie and Barry the same treatment soon! And the chances of getting a GB stamp for our World Champs are ... zilch! Edited February 21, 2009 by TwoMinuteWarning

Cornishfisherman
Trick and I think Ove Fundin were done a few years back in Sweden... Not forgetting Olle Nygren in the same set of stamps in 2002. For anyone interested the Stanley Gibbons catalogue numbers are SG2240/2247 the set of 6 (all motor cycle sprtsmen) from SG will cost you about 6GBPs. The first accepted stamp on Speedway was from Poland commemorating the World Championship held in Chorzow in 1973 the Gibbons number for that particular stamp is SG2258 and is price by them at the princely sum of 10p. I was halfway through the process, when I had to call the whole thing off. If I remember right, the amount of stamps needed to order per pic was too much. But anyway, the possibility is there.
