Great meeting with some fantastic racing on what is imo the best track in north germany and better than those in Denmark as well  Wölbert,Matze and even Roberto Haupt had one or two strong heats.Matze came through from the back to win.Kevin looked really strong at first. The race between Gomolski and Bogdanov was also a cracker.Meeting held up to allow a record crowd for the Osterpokal in....3,300 i think.Programmes all sold out.Great weather and i think the crowd would have gone home happy.

Also of interest was the 125cc meeting between Güstrow and Marketa Prague. The away side winning 27-21

I was there in 2004 and read somewhere that the club was gonna get some funding from the city to make the place a tad more attractive and high profile for the future. Has it happen...

Sullivan there speaks volumes (regarding past history of the meeting and Sullivans stature at the mo), of somethimg... and I'm a BIG fan of him! :approve:

Yes they have recieved money and done up the place a bit.Great new floodlights and the terracing on the third/fourth bend which was pretty bad has been rebuilt among other things

As to Ryan....well the two Russians were not released by their club. They had to attend a training camp,so Sulli was alte replacement. And a pretty good one at that.Even though he couldn't do anything against Manu and Kevin :approve: But he is a past winner of this meeting i think and also a former track record holder.

Some very good shots in there, in particular some of the Gomolski and Bogdanov actions shots are excellent.

Thanks :D

As regards the prize money,i don't know.I was talking to Manu before the meeting and he said he was using the meeting as practice more than prize money. But knowing him,he wouldn't travel all that way just for practice.I guess Sullivan can ask for more money up front than others though?!?!And as half the field are Güstrows Bundesliga squad i guess these meetings come into the deal for the season

Nice to see toonarmy84 is still working

Manu looks to be on new kit, there was some talk of a new sponsor during the winter, any news?

Good to see you still know what he looks like

No.The main talk was really about the new baby and how it is going to affect Manu's career......sleep deprivation and all

Some good racing.Kevin rode really well....was a bit lucky that Roberto Haupt fell when he did or he might not have made the front in that heat.Couldn't do much in the last heat against Nermark though. The only real team riding came when Matten and Katt rode together......and nice to meet Mama from Bydgoszcz briefly
