GlasgowBoy2
Ive seen Parker at the OTA and one thing he has never been is terrible ? Ive even seen him blow away Zorro there. In saying that Grieves is pretty crap there though i expect it to be Grajczonek who will line up beside Parker.....

I look forward to Josh's progression this season , but to think he'll average higher than James Grieves is daft . To do that he'd need to average around 9 , and while the lad is an exciting prospect - he wont do that . Â

uk_martin
Good to see you've already written the Pairing of Sundstrom & Hi Ho off Acne and Arthritis isn't the winning formula though, is it?
GlasgowBoy2
I dont think young Josh will finish above Grievsey in the averages but i do think he will be the better choice at the pairs as i think its any two from your top three and i think Josh will be 3rd in our averages. True enough . James might not fancy it , as he's not great round Somerset , so it could be Josh . Assuming , that is , we're involved in the first place . rhidassa
Without bothering to read the thread, I think its far too early to predict who will win before any of the riders have turned a wheel in the league, trophy or cup. Who knows which riders will gel best in a team and prove the most successful until they've all been on track and actually raced with each other? Pretty sure it is only a clubs top two averages combined that count toward qualification - appologies if I am wrong - in which case our top two of Shane and James will comfortably qualify in my opinion.........how they perform at the OTA is open to debate though and fake injuries and other "commitments" can come into play  Although I have just remembered they used that ridiculous heat 15 qualifying system last season, so who knows. Pretty sure it is only a clubs top two averages combined that count toward qualification - appologies if I am wrong - Â I think the rule glasgowboy refers to was in place for last season's competition and I am sure there hasn't been any changes to it. Drac
I think Wilson could average 8.5 which could very well make him our number 2, and plus think Havvy could easily give it a miss lol  No way, Havvy had a bad meeting down there in the pairs, BUT in the league Havvy was by far man of the meeting.  Im sure Somerset fans would agree.  And what a meeting it was!  I think you will find the OTA clubhouse will be open early for food, for fans that arrive early Rebel Rebel    The Fox & Goose is still there, but the skittle alley is now a American diner  Rebel Rebel  Your joking? Najjer
No way, Havvy had a bad meeting down there in the pairs, BUT in the league Havvy was by far man of the meeting. Im sure Somerset fans would agree.  And what a meeting it was!  I seem to remember him having a similar type of race with Doyley like he had had the previous season with Zorro.  As you say though, both times in the League at our place he was just simply awesome. David Johnston
Although I have just remembered they used that ridiculous heat 15 qualifying system last season, so who knows. Â Â Seem to remember that is why Kings Lynn with the 2nd highest combined average and Berwick with the 7th highest combined average were missing last year. The average's used here were the one's in the Star the week before the field was announced (it was the same the week the field was announced). paul84
Franc and Makovsky will be a decent bet if Berwick get into the pairs this year! Il still go for Rymel/Roynon and Doolan thought
