Good to see Joe off to a good start this season. :approve:

Not to worry Lisa. You'll soon see the Joe us Aces fans are used to around June.

Hope Adam Shields is fighting fit soon too.

Hmmm, we'll see! Isn't that what you lot said about adam skornicki last year!!

I think it was but in fairness Sqora wasn't even down to be in the Aces side in 2007 until events at Oxford forced him out (or whatever the reason was he didn't end up there) and, there's no denying it, was in a s**t team that year whereas Joe has been back at Belle Vue since 2003 and been part of the great 2005 team and the relatively OK 2006 side but has had the same season year in year out. Maybe the move to Poole is the kick up the backside Screenie has needed but we'll soon see.

Might have had some kind of digestive problem, seems he couldnt stomach riding infront of his former fans.

Seems about right, pity he could not have the decency to show respect to a former team-mate and ride.

Coventry fans, get used to it, especially next season when he puts in a request to go out on loan, so he can become a "better rider"!

According to local press, crowd was 1,600 (very good for Eastie)

Deano said "I was quite shocked how big the crowd was. It was a really great day"

So what happened to Kennett, did Dugard ban him from the stadium?

He was spotted in the stadium wandering around, so I don't think so.

EDIT

Now understand that it was somebody else that was spotted in stadium.

Apologies for causing any confusion and my apology to Ed for misleading fans.

Rumour has it that you wouldn't be too far off the mark ...........

Knowing what a child Dugard is, that was gonna be my bet! Wouldn't put it past him at all, in one way or another, to make sure that Kennett wasn't allowed to ride.

It was a very enjoyable meeting and a very good send off meeting for Deano with a healthy crowd for one of Arlington's favorate sons. Joe Screen was the stand out man for me, bike troubles robbed him of a win so he should have bagged 13 from 5 and a fine second place in the meeting...

Gordon Kennett still looks class, his winnning time of 61.9 was only 3.4 secs slower than Bjarne Pedersens heat 16 winning time.
