I have a DVD of old Milton Keynes footage, which features a race with Brett riding in it [with Bob Humpherys v Oxford]. I could easily rip a copy and send it to the family in Australia, if they would like a copy.

Regards

Tim

Dear Debbie,

I have sent you a personal message, so you can privately send me the address that you would like me to send the DVD to.

Rare footage of Brett Alderton racing for MK Knights can be found here....

There is also a facebook group for "Milton Keynes Knights speedway" [please join] which has contributions from ex riders of the era like Karl Fiala and Martin Dixon. There are lots of pictures and comments that will bring back a lot of memories for people. Among the photos is this one of Brett's bike which has recently been restored and presented to the motor racing museum at Bathurst NSW.

hi people just having a look about and picked up on this thread. im the bloke running third in the vid and remember the race quite well. It all brought a lump to my throat as Brett was such a really nice person and although we were not close friends, he was always chatty when we met although only for a brief time for obvious reasons. i was upset badly at the time and also when craig died as well that upset me as we both started riding together at mildenhall as fen tiger cubs in 1976. i remember them both with fond memories.
