wjm
but he didn't go out of his way to injure another rider so there is nothing to bring up you're just using a comment from someone else to use as ammo to bring up a past incident I didn't bring it up. I posted the video and others felt the need to comment on it.
nic
I didn't bring it up. I posted the video and others felt the need to comment on it. But there was no need to post the link as the incident happened last year. At Sheffield no-one was kicked or pushed off their bike - I was there I know. wjm
so shut up WJM! and find somthing constructive to talk about. Shut Up ? Constructive, I would say highlighting a dangerous rider is constructive Great that this meeting got the support it deserved. Lets hope its moved around the country so that one trick pony thugs like Ashworth don't get to race in the meeting. But I guess being from Manchester the thuggery has been in him since birth Edited April 2, 2009 by wjm
Piccolo
Somebody told me that Makovsky asked for it, I wasn't there mind you but somebody did mention it so it must be true and I thought you all ought to know.

Deary me , what a poor attempt at a wind up, trying to make Makosvky look bad yet all is does is make Ashworth look like more of a fool Like you say you weren't there, clearly not among the travelling Sheffield fans, some of the best in the league like I said, even if they were of that attitude that a rider deserved that , doesn't say much about them as a person does it, so Im guessing if they said he deserved it , it was that dirty little cheating thug Ashworth Not many there that night said Makovsky deserved it. But Like you said, why talk about on this thread. Edited April 2, 2009 by wjm
The~SAINT
not read all the posts so don't really know what is being 'discussed' here...is someone saying there was an 'incident' on sunday???? (because there most certainly wasn't!!)
stevebrum
there was no incident on sunday though! so dont jump on the band waggon and start somthing off that never happend you stupid jock not read all the posts so don't really know what is being 'discussed' here...is someone saying there was an 'incident' on sunday???? (because there most certainly wasn't!!) think there are some `personal` issues relating to Ashworth that are being brought up on this thread which are completely unrelated. Ashworth`s style is a bit wild - havent seen all that much of him only the ocassional meeting so can pass no comment and have no intention to as this is completely a personal attack on the rider. I too was also there and there were no incidents.

PhilK
Thanks because i really would have liked to buy one as I collect race jackets but couldn't get to the meeting. Tas, the race jackets from Crump, Sitera, Auty and Barker are I believe being auctioned off in the bar under the stand after the Coventry v Belle Vue meeting tomorrow night. SCB
In you're humble and unbiased opinion of course, yeah yeah yeahIn what way is it biased? I have very little opinion of Ricky Ashworth, if I had to have one it's a good Sheffield rider who can't do much away from home in comparason. With Freddie I think he's a great talent but he needs to stop pulling the dirty moves he started to make in the 2nd half of last season. there was no incident on sunday though! so dont jump on the band waggon and start somthing off that never happend you stupid jock and you SCB can you explain where ashworth tried to kick lindgren off as the lad himself has no idea on what your going on about? There WAS an incident. As I have said, Ricky kicked out at Freddie Lindgren. There only one time that could have happened, in the sinlge heat they met at the only time they were side by side on the back straight. Ricky kicked his leg out on the straight where the referee could not see it. It was not a sticking his leg out to balance move either. Scunny Stag
speedwaysquashman your right kyle is a very promising talent but he was stood next to me last sunday when scunny was there so not the first time he s seen it . C'mon Neil! It was the first time he had ridden it. I've seen a lot of tracks and even helped build a couple at Scunny but it didn't make me any good when I rode them

boxerbob
The reaction of the Sheffield fans about 3 feet away from the incident says all it has to Ashworth is a thug on a bike, and a cowardly thug at that Good to see there are some decent Sheffield fans who don't have there heads buried in the sand Always a great support at Berwick ` Ricky Ashworth is not a thug on a bike he is a decent hard working "ENGLIISH MAN " and no way is he a coward. I dont have my head in the sand and i will stand by Ricky anyday, you should pack it in now before this gets out of hand. Im looking forward to meeting you some day, for a little chat. Fur Burger
I will make sure to look out for you Silvio Berlusconi It really makes me wonder and to a point worrys me a little ( WJM ) just what kind of strange individual you in are ??? , some of your posts and comments towards Mr Ashworth really have nothing to do with speedway to class someone a thug because they come from Manchester ??? how narrow minded are you my auntie is from Manchester so i guess she,s a thug too. To comment on a meeting you did,nt even attend ??? WHY??? when everybody else on this thread is commenting on what was a very good meeting for a very good cause ( BEN FUND ) what a pity you were not there to contribute with your hand in our pocket to the fund , like thousands from all over the country did that day to a sport they all clearly love . But no your way is to lower the tone of the thread with a 1 man vendetta against 1 rider from the comfort of your home hiding behind a code name and a computer screen . I fear that if you carry on in this vein this could all blow up in your face as i already think you have over stepped the mark , but hey i guess you make your bed and you have to lie in it . So give it a rest mate cos you really are boring me now And finally to all the rest lets get back to what we do best on here and have some constructive debates about SPEEDWAY. colincooke
Couldn't agree with Fur Burger more. Stereotyping isn't a trait that does anyone any favours. This was an excellent meeting with a superb crowd & all we're happy on this thread until a few went & spoilt it all.
