Ozchem Classic On Sunday, March 15

Does it really really matter, my answer to that is no.

It doesn't at all SK, like we say all that this is about is 1 family & that family is not just the boocock's but speedway as a whole.

Surely the same could be said about Tim Stones meeting at Newport? With no particular allegiance or feeling towards either of the parties these meetings are being held for, Newport is the better speedway watching option that day, especially considering we'll be going to Swindon afterwards.

As posted before, enjoy your meeting, and perhaps on this particular thread wasn't the place for an argument about the merits of team meetings/individuals as benefit meetings to take place, but in my opinion what has been posted about formats have been valid points. Condemn them for being posted on this thread if you must, but don't rubbish them just because of why the meeting is taking place.

I agree with Colin on these comments, like I said in a previous post does it really matter about the format of the meeting, be it an individual or a team meeting, to be honest I really don't think that it matters.

The meeting is about a celebrations of two people's lives, and to raise money for their young son who has unfortunately lost his Mother and Father.

To a credit to the Sheffield promotion they have offered something different, where the meeting will be run on the old 13 heat format, with tactical substitutes allow after been 6 points down, no double points and as many tactical's as you want, and to top it off there will be a second half with a rider of the night, so you are still getting a bit of an individual meeting as well.

I appreciate that you are probably thing along the lines of getting supporters interests, but I that there are alot of people who don't really care what the meeting format, who the riders who are riding, they will be there because they want to be there. In saying that the meeting has at least two very big star attractions in Greg Hancock and Jason Crump two out of the top four riders in the world today.

Interesting to See Ricky on that list, should help him with big track set-ups.

So who will be in which team.

I know some will be obvious but am i right in thinking there is only 6 current/former Tigers in the list.

I see that this meeting is being run on the old 13 heat formula with t/s at 6 points behind & there is a "Rider of the Night" second half individual. So you see the best of both worlds & a real throwback for traditionalist fans.Fantastic value for £15 not £20.

Enjoy.

With you on that Squall, I am even looking forward to the P&P day, although I am going have to come straight from work as I don't finish work until 3.30 pm.

it would have been amazing i think if the Sheffield Legends side had a certain rider along the lines of Captain Marvel Sean Wilson, just one meeting for a great cause from the great one himself !
