I thought that we had to qualify this year?

Still to be confirmed but this seems reasonably definite:

Poland goes to Peterborough

13 July - Peterborough (United Kingdom): United Kingdom, Australia, Poland and the winner of Terenzano (Italy, Germany, Slovenia and Hungary).

Off to the race of for "Team GB" then.

Yes. I bet the Poles will love Peterborough as it is more like the tracks they ride on and for Australia Crump and Sullivan (if he rides) know the quick way around the Showground by doing a bit of grasstracking on the bends.

in general it's not really a track that poles seem to excell at really,it seems to be a bit of a myth that as it's big and fast they will love it,granted one or two of them do ride it well, but on the other hand aussies do seem to ride the track very well and they always have done, all the aussies riding in the uk at the minute seem to always be some of the best visiting riders over the last few years.Crump and sully will be almost unbeatable, chris holder is awesome here, rory schlien is a rider many fans wanted in the team this year due to his performances there and well leigh adams is leigh adams-doenst matter where he rides really, for britain scott and bomber are pretty good at the eoes, danny king can be quite good, tai woffinden can ride it but doesn't like the track, ted kennet has always been awfull there but did well last year so hopefully that can continue, lee richardson is very hit and miss around there so to me it looks like a bad move and can only see a big win for australia,we SHOULD be able to beat poland but that will tough

I presume by that you mean do the pre-qualifying rounds. If so, no we don't. The 6 teams that competed in Denmark are seeded to the Final Tournament.

Ok cheers. Someone mentioned to me in the pub that we weren't seeded this year. It's quite a shame really, as the likes of Italy, Germany and Russia are about our level. :P

Australia, Poland, GB and a Qualifier should be a cracker. :approve:

Will I be seeing you there, Seb? With Mrs Snail?

I'd imagine that an appearance by Mrs Snail at The Showground would be similar odds to seeing either Lord Lucan or Elvis Presley!

There's half a chance that I might make it. If you're over for a while then I'm sure a lemonade could be arranged at some point either way. :)

That doesnt bode well for the future of British speedway if this bloke, in the pub, doesnt even know which round the team starts in!!!!!:wink::lol:

the gender of the thicko was never mentioned but you assume it was a bloke when the majority of dumb comments come from female mouths :lol:

EDIT: ok males close the gap on stupid comments. i asked Vog how often he'll be coming to Sheffield this year. He replied...."depends when the meetings are"....

I think when Seb comes on line he, and other Swindon fans will understand why I said bloke and pub in the same breath. BUt hey - it goes over other peoples heads and I apologise for that Squall!!!

And as for Vog - what more did you expect!!

Indeed. To have even a sniff of qualifying we need the track to be nice and deep.

Having it at the EoES is great news for those of us who live less than an hour away :approve:

I can do it in about 70 mins!
