Baille
What do you mean during the 70's and 80's? If you stay right until the bitter end it's still played at Brandon. Well, it was but I suppose it will be getting the boot again this season now Superbart is back. By the time heat 15 is over Alec is usually asleep so have to get out quickly. Unless he knows that Rich is doing 2nd halves and then he stays up just to watch him.

Always play Rockin' Robin and When the Red Red Robin goes bob bob bobbing along when riders come out for pre-meeting parade.
jackofdiamonds
A Picture of You by Joe Brown and the Bruvvers always takes me back to my first season at Brough Park in 1962. Diamonds by Jet Harris and Tony Meehan has been our signature tune since 1963.
martinmauger
At Hull's Boulevard & Craven Park up to date chart stuff was played, with a leaning to rock in the later Craven Park years. I do remember at the Boulevard ABBA's Hasta Manana being played right at the very end of the meeting after the Rider Of The Night Final. Memories, eh?... Rebel 77
Playing around on youtube today I was after some music that I could remember being played at the tracks from years ago between the heats. Just for a short trip down memory lane. I went to Ipswich at Foxhall Heath with Bobby Dugard once in the early 60's and all they played all night was Frank Ifield and 'I remember you' and Ray Charles and 'I can't stop loving you'. I can slightly remember that at New Cross they often played a tune by Russ Conway but the actual name of it escapes me. Can you remember which one it was Norman? Do you remember all the old songs played at the tracks and which were your favourites? I remember at White City in 77 it was Sonny by BONEY M and in 78 it was We Are The Champions by Queen
