rob miller
I am planning my first visit to Poland to see a meeting this year, most probably in Bydgoszcz at start of April (5 April is start of league season). Could anybody help with the following:- Is the stadium in Bydgoszcz easy to reach by public transport or walking from the town centre. What time do the meetigs usually take place (afternoon or evening). I note most meetings take place on Sundays. Are tickets easy to obtain on the day. Is there any chance of meetings being sold out. What's the atmosphere like compared to uk meetings. Thanks for any help.
Mateusz
The stadium is in the town centre so yes, absolutely In April it should start about 4 pm. No chance the tickets may be sold out. You can get them on the day of event but may spend a while in a queue then. Comparing to the UK the atmosphere is smoking hot. I especially recommend the derby match against Torun - 19th April. I can guarantee you won't forget this one... marcel
i went to a play off match obviously bit bigger than normal match but atmosphere was quite amazing. sky tv get hyped up over a big match at poole with 4,000 but believe me its a drop in the ocean! you wont look at british speedway the same again. the crowds are much bigger, the atmosphere is big,the racing is better and and is took very seriously!! Did You watch any Bydgoszcz SGP`s? Racing in league match is similar to SGP`s because track is usually prepared in the same way... About atmosphere on the stands....It is difficult to describe - you just have to be part of it to get your own opinion :-) WARM WELCOME at Polonia Stadium on April 5th :-) [or maybe 19th as well? - I suggest to visit on that day - being here will be unforgottable for you - I`m pretty sure - Derby match against Torun - It`s something like Real M vs Barcelona in spanish Primera Divisione :-)
