LisaColette
Cos its bjarne's meeting and there probably isn't enough room for everyone! Edited March 4, 2009 by lisa-colette
Pollyanna
Cos its bjarne's meeting and there probably isn't enough room for everyone! If that's the reason, what an insult to Kyle to leave him out! Fancy putting all the Pirates in there and leaving out only one rider! rabbit
Wouldn't call it an insult Pollyanna - it's often the case that not all riders will take part in a testimonial, and with all due respect to Kyle, if it was a choice between our no 7 and someone like Nicki P, I think at this stage of their careers, the fans would rather see Nicki. I'm sure Kyle won't take it personally.
HBKPCNBob
I wonder why Kyle Legault has not been included, since the rest of the Poole side (apart from Tomasz Pizsz) are in there? Probably because Bjarne has never ridden with Kyle before this season, so on his big day celebrating 10 years racing in Britain he wanted riders who he'd already ridden with. I know he hasnt ridden with Emil, Joe or Carl in Britain but could have done over on the continent.
Nij
Just to underline what is on the Poole Speedway news page... Bjarne will be launching his testimonial with a personal appearance at the Champs Bar, Poole Stadium from 7.30pm next Wednesday 11th March. First up will be an introduction of the new Bournemouth Buccaneers where all of the new team are expected along with Matt Ford, Giles Hartwell, Garry May & Neil Vatcher. They will be talking about the season ahead. For the second half Bjarne has agreed to an extended chat on stage followed by a fan forum so fans can get to ask questions of their own. All that plus the chance to bid at auction for one of Bjarne's own Polish Race jackets! Should be a great night out and a large crowd expected so come along in good time. This is Bjarne's photos of the Race Jacket........ http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v626/Nij...JacketREF1a.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v626/Nij...JacketREF2a.jpg Hope to see you there ...Nij

I wish I could make it down for this, but finances are not at their best at the moment, otherwise I would have been there. Good luck for your special night, Bjarne. crazysue
Is there anyone going to this meeting who would be able to text updates to the updates site? Tsunami
At the Diamonds' Supporters meeting tonight after the 80p event, it was announced that New Danish sensation, Kenni Larsen, will now take the place of injured Jason Doyle. I assume that means Stoney will rejoin the Poole team to allow Kenni to ride for his British club. Makes sense rather that Diamonds fans having to cheer on Stoney who of course now rides for the Redcar Bears. I know it's a friendly but come on. Still a cracking line up and counting down the time before the meeting on Wednesday.
pirate paul
Last call for anyone flying down and needing a lift from/to Southampton airport? By the way I will be filling in for Rabbit on the scoreboard, so if it all goes pear shaped you can all shout at me instead!

By the way I will be filling in for Rabbit on the scoreboard, so if it all goes pear shaped you can all shout at me instead! Many thanks for making your kind offer again. I have spoken to the airplane lot and they had already made arrangements and were on different planes back anyway. Once again thanks. 9.00 we set off in the morning. Looking forward to my first team beating my second team but probs not favourite now if the young ruskie is going to be missing. Never mind, still a great field and a great occasion to honour the favourite Diamond. Hope to meet a lot of forummers as I reckon there is about 10 - 12 formmers on our bus and in cars. Don't ask me who's who cos I haven't got clue who they are anyway. See ya the morrow like. Edited March 17, 2009 by Tsunami
