tommy
Now that teams in Polish league can officially negotiate with riders who's contracts expired at end of Nov. there was a few intersting transfers like Okoniewski, Zagar & Ruud to Gorzow...Chrzanowski n Lindback to Bydgoszcz. Top notch free agents on the market Hans Andersen and Hancock.. UPDATED ROSTERS
Vicar
There are rumours that Nicholls and Watt will be in Wroclaw, and Bjerre in Gdansk. Other rumours says that maybe Andersen, Kosciecha or Hancock will be in Wybrzeze. I will be surprised if one of them will visit seaside. Czestochowa didn't give Ulamek to Tarnow if they will not want to sign with Hancock (rule about only 2 GP riders in match squad in one team) and I think they will do everything what tehy can to sign with Herbie. If Torun will give Andersen or Kosciecha to Gdansk, they will have only 5 seniors in squad what can be dangerous (because of injury). Mateusz
If Torun manage to keep Andersen, Kosciecha will be lent to Gdansk. Otherwise, Kosciecha stays in Torun and Andersen goes to Gdansk...

Mateusz
Andersen moved from Torun to Gdansk. Which means Kosciecha stays in Torun. The only big name w/o a contract is Hancock then. Very likely he'll stay in Czestochowa tho.
Vicar
Hancock signed two years contract in Czestochowa, so almost everything is clear Torun 1. Wiesław Jaguś 2. Robert Kościecha 3. Adrian Miedziński 4. Chris Holder 5. Ryan Sullivan 6. Damian Celmer 7. Matej Kus Leszno 1. Leigh Adams 2. Troy Batchelor/Adam Shields 3. Krzysztof Kasprzak 4. Damian Baliński 5. Jarosław Hampel 6. Since 2009 there must be three riders with Polish licence in match squad (Rune Holta and Martin Vaculik has this). It looks like Polish Ekstraliga will be very interesting this year There is no team, which is much weaker then others Edited January 6, 2009 by Vicar
Mateusz
Should be a cracking season, can't wait If I had to predict now: 1. Leszno 2. Torun 3. Czestochowa 4. Gorzow 5. Zielona Gora 6. Wroclaw 7. Bydgoszcz 8. Gdansk ...but of course I hope my beloved team will make a little surprise and finish a bit higher

It looks like Polish Ekstraliga will be very interesting this year There is no team, which is much weaker then others This prob gets asked every yr so my apologies but what r the rules for the Ekstraliga?? Watched quite a few meets last yr online but mainly followed Bydgoszcz via the internet in Liga 1. Its a 7 man team with one U21 or two?? Also, how many Poles have to turn out each week?? Sure Sajfutdinov was number 8 for Bydgoszcz last season so presume Liga 1 is different.
Mama
Each match-team consists of 7 riders - at least 2 juniors (6,7/14,15), at least 1 of them have to ride with Polish licence, at least 3 riders have to ride with Polish licences. Juniors with numbers 7 and 15 are kind of reserve - they have 1 programmed ride each but can replace any other rider. Max 2 GP riders are allowed to start in each match-team.
