Fun? For whom? Seems like just an attempt to stir up further bad feeling. I'm delighted that Newport are back, I truly am, but this constant niggling isn't doing anyone any favours.

But Just imagine Rabbit-a few short months ago it appeared Newport had no hope-and now they do-No New year classic at the time apparent so Poole stepped in to run a meeting in January for the fans. What a wonderful gesture that was at the time-however,now Newport are running again, above speedway politics if the guys from Poole would hand it back to Newport now they are confirmed as racing again on this occasion do you not think it might be a good idea??--Would be wonderful if they could find it in their hearts to do so imo and the guys at Newport could run it and make it happen.

Business aside, but speedway wise would be a wonderful gesture to the newcomers from one of Britains most succesfull teams now that the underdogs are declared as running again when a few short weeks ago it seemed they were dead and buried.

Would be a tremendous gesture, and seemingly the right thing to do!

It isn't going to happen and now Newport have a new promotion they will have to bid for it the same as every other club I should imagine.

Whilst the NYC was Tim Stone's baby, it has little to nothing to do with the new Newport promotion and now any club has the right to put in a sealed bid to run it.

Personally I believe it should be shared around, with a different club running the event every year.

As long as the Clubs begin with a 'P' and end with an 'E' eh Steve.

Not at all. Whilst Poole have rescued the event for 2009, I would like to see another club run it in 2010 and then pass it on to another club the year after.

One club shouldn't have sole rights over the meeting.
