swebb
We are holding a Speedway Day at Filby Playing Field - Gt Yarmouth August Bank Holiday 2009 If you are an ex rider of yesteryear or a current rider, if you had anything to do with the Great Yarmouth Stadium or The Firs Norwich, have any memorbilia of any kind you would like to display or just a general speedway fan of any region and would love to attend we would love to hear from you At the moment I am just putting out feelers to see what response we get, as we had a village reunion last month with a Yarmouth Speedway memory corner with ex rider Billy Bales attending and the response was so great so as we are trying to raise funds for a new village community centre we thought we would hold a general speedway day for anybody to attend on the Saturday August Bank Holiday weekend, we have a large marque on the playing field.. Many Thanks
crikeythatsfast
What a great idea, and I am only sorry I never saw this earlier, however we may well make the trip and have a look next August. one of clubs
Hmm that's interesting.I may see if i can make it as my Father in law has a guest house in Norwich and we go and visit from time to time, especially in the summer. He also has two greyhounds that race at the stadium.I will also try to visit Kings Lynn, who i have a soft spot for although i have not been to KL to watch the speedway for it must be over twenty years. It was a great race track. It's still a great track at KL, although if you haven't been for 20 years you will see quite a lot of changes.
