Parsloes 1928 nearly
http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/ind...p;#entry1405687 Pasted below is an e-mail that I received from John McCallum.? McCallum has promoted international tours in New Zealand for over 10 years and has hosted several American riders over the years, including Bobby Schwartz and Gary Hicks.? He is looking for Americans to take part in his 2009 tour.??The tour is scheduled to consist of six events over a three-week period in January and February.? He has left his contact information at the bottom of the e-mail.? It would be a great opportunity for a rider to get experience and enjoy seeing another part of the world. Ryan Evans - Our meetings are to run on motorcycle only tracks not on big nasty clay ovals used by midgets and sprintcars that do attempt to share with bikes at some venues. 17/01/09 Waikaraka Park Auckland ( new 220 metre track built inside clay oval ) USA VS. speedyguy
10th January Christchurch SOUTH ISLAND 61 NORTH ISLAND 55 11th January Christchurch SOUTH ISLAND 56 NORTH ISLAND 51 Taken from Ivan Mauger website Update on these: first match was in Christchurch - at Moore Park. The second match NOT in Christchurch but at Oreti Park, Invercargill. Another error I saw on Ivan Mauger site was in list of world long-track champions. It gives the first winner of the world long track championship as Basse Hveem (Sweden). He came from Norway.
