BeesFan
Yes its going to be cold but the weather is dry and sunny and we couldn't have asked for more. What's the betting the track will need watering? It hasn't rained down here for quite a while. What about shale? will they be any?
BobC
Well at Sittingbourne last weekend,we had to wait in the freezing cold for them to water the track. That said, the track was pretty much perfect. Some very fast times, and good racing. More of the same tomorrow please.Just keep things moving along quickly,we dont need long breaks between races. Meeting preview here.... http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/pirates/piratesnews/ Sorry but thats not a meeting preview - thats a PR job on how well the new Poole rider will get on. Nothing about this being the New year Classic in memory of Tim or anything about the other riders. Yes I know you take every opportunity to promote your club but please Bob - that article is not a preview. That said - Hope the weather stays fine for you tomorrow and those attending enjoy their day.

All because the meeting is at Poole. My knickers are perfectly fine thank you. I have never said that the meeting shouldnt be at Poole.I would rather it have been at Newport but I guess you only read what you want to read. I am one who has understood why the meeting isnt at Newport but dont let little facts get in the way Bob. My grievence has been the name change which to me was an afterthought. From Champions of Champions to the New Year Classic in memory of Tim Stone!!! So Bob Im afraid you are wrong - its not because its at Poole. And by the way - at least I gave you the courtesy of using your name! Best wishes the Grinch

colincooke
Who are "The Cats"? That just proves your ignorance. I presume "THE CATS" are Weymouth, you know a few miles down the road from errrr, oh yes!!! Poole.

Poole. Proves you don't know what you are talking about because the person who posted said he wouldn't bother coming with that lineup. As every rider on show is better than any rider likely to ride at Weymouth in 2009, he can't obviously mean Weymouth.

Depends on how you define 'better', doesn't it? Your elitist arrogance is astonishing.....!

2ndBender
How do you define better? Do they have a different English language in Newport? Oh yes, Steve, despite your allusion to my obvious inadequacy, I am proud of my ability to express myself in my mother tongue. You know as well as I do that 'better' in Speedway terms can be defined and interpreted in many different ways. But lets not get stressed about it, eh?
