Speedway Cigarette Cards

In the late 20's and 1930's cigarette cards often featured speedway. They are now a good source of information. The cards are now highly collectible and they look brilliant scanned onto a website. I hope to make the Defunct Site the sole website for these cards. So have a look at the Card Sets page of the site and be entertained.

If anyone has any cards the site would like to hear from you email me Defunct Site

Me too Steve, and i thought i was doing well with that, but my cousin has the same collection in an original booklet !! At least i guess these are all originals. But probably not worth 12 quid, let alone 12 million dollars :D

Complete sets (without the original album) go for around £100, and individual cards are £3-4. I have the set, but it's not the original album.

Which set are you talking about? The 1937 Speedway Riders set (John Player) is worth about £75; the Ogden's 1929 set of Famous Dirt Track Riders between about £80 and £100, while the J A Pattreioux 1930 set of Dirt Track Riders can be worth up to £500 - £600.

The 1937. I said "about" £100, because I found a set yesterday for £90.

Does that mean my "2017 set of Jason Doyle is worthless!" :D:D

ebay.au might realise you a couple of dollars. But I wouldn't hold your breathe. Maybe in another 94 years!
