Ferndown Racer
Beercellar,or infact anyone, can you give me some advice please......With there being no Racers next year i've decided to spend all the money i would spend over the season in one go and i'm going to take the wife to Prague for the speedway and hopefully a dirty weekend I've found this web-site called My Prague .net and i can book flights and a hotel for less than 400 quid. The hotel i looked at was called the Marketa which as that's the name of the stadium i thought it would be quite close to it,anybody got any idea if it is close or not!!!!!!!!!! Is it worth booking now or waiting till closer the time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a total virgin at this so any help would be much appericated. Any good advice will be noted and if that person goes to Prague i will meet up with them and buy them a beer or three................. Cheer's guys in advance Si. Hi Si We stayed at the Hotel Marketa a couple of weeks ago for the Tomicek Memorial meeting. As others have mentioned this is a fair way out of town, although it is convenient for the speedway and it was so close we could hear the bikes from the hotel. The hotel itself is very nice, clean, the staff spoke good English and gave us a good discount for paying by cash. If you were interested in staying there, their website is: www.europehotels.cz and their telephone number is: +420 220 518 316-9. The centre is accessible by public transport or a taxi which cost us 300 Kr. We had a hire car but off-road parking was limited. There is also a supermarket and a couple of places to eat close to the hotel (the hotel itself doesn't have a restaurant). Hope that helps and enjoy your trip to Prague. HOTSHOT
Si, This link is where me and the other half stayed a couple or three years ago. http://www.hoteljosef.com/ Can't fault the place. A1 location, within walking of all the touristy stuff and excellent staff/service. The place has only been done up to the standard as seen on the website in recent years, very clean and sharp. Me and the Mrs. had a great time and would highly recommend the Josef to anyone. Do ask for room at the front and on the higher floors if possible, we got one by chance and loved looking out in the morning over Prague. Enjoy, wherever and whatever you end up doing!
