..and why do they continue to put on two FIM meetings in the same day when there could be a possible conflict -

Cardiff GP and GP qualifier in Poland!!! Can they not get it organised better :(

FIM press release is slightly incorrect, GP qualifier at Gorican, Croatia on 27/06/09

Dead chuffed that Daugavpils is 4 weeks earlier next year, means I'll be able to go !!

About Gothenburg BSI/IMG signed a three year contract with them so no matter how crapppy the track is they will comeback for 2009 and 2010.

I thought Gelsenkirchen also had a 3 year contract :unsure:B)

Another alternative for that GP could of course be Ole's own track Vojens. He was quoted this year as saying Denmark could have 2 GP's.One in Parken and one in Vojens

Didn't someone say over here that Wiener Neustadt has closed down??

They have a GP qualifier to organize in June...

Yes.Wasn't it the fact that it was owned by the Football club and the new owner wanted to rebuild the stadium to get into the top Austrian football league? And that would mean the track going.Maybe his plans are on hold or changed?

Here is what seems to be the news that the stadium would be rebuilt

Wiener Neustadt

I've been going through the FIM and UEM calendars just to give you a good headache next month.

Elgane looks set for me to see the Finns in the U21's. Also the SWC qualifier sounds good if it's at Daugavpils. The bad thing about the SWC is that it's already in early May. Cant see any meetings being held in Finland before it, so there's not much practise for our guys before it. Good thing is that most of the riders set for a team place have been there before, plenty of times too.

On a non-Finnish topic and back to the original. Not many riders will have many or any meetings behind them by the time of Prague. Not those missing fron the EL anyway.

And if this is an up to date photo from the stadium, rebuilt and all it doesn't look like there is a track any more, although it does still curve round. So maybe they take the grass up?Or maybe i am looking in the wrong place

Wiener Neustadt Or maybe that isn't grass.Or maybe that isn't the rebuilt stadium?

Not sure about Prague as 1st grand Prix. Whether is mixed in August when it normally is ???????

Pity as we normally go to this one, but not so sure now !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have to agree too early for Prague, have been mid May which is better, Wonder if organisers ever stop to consider the fans. Really the first one ought to be inside, when it might be a bit warmer, or at least further South.

What is the bank of lights sticking out of the stand......Exclusion lights maybe? And an orange 2 minute warning light ?

Probably.Anyway i have heard that the track is still there and will be running.Just the redevelopment work has meant that the bends have now been narrowed down.Don't think it was the greatest of tracks before.Plus the surface was often reported as dangerous.I think T.Pozrl posted once that there were big stones flying up from the track hitting riders coming behind

Also I'd say thats not grass covering the track but a sheet of somesort. Mystery solved then, thanks!

Yes agree about Prague in April- this will probably scupper my Leszno trip as well as wont be able to do both in such quick sucession.

Bah humbug

Might be your last chance at Leszno as they only have a two year deal.

Booked flights already for Poznan. Going to go to one other not decided yet. Been to Bydgoszcz a few year in a row might change this time. Hungary would be good, if not what does everyone think of Slovenia.

Slovenia was great.

We flew into Zagreb and drove (or some good friends did!!! ) into Slovenia.

We stayed here but I am a little concerned that it will be a lot more expensive as it will be mid season.
