orion
If you are somehow trying to suggest that Ulamek and/or Walasek are 'better' than Nicholls then our discusion is over, as it is not worth my time discussing it with you. Looking at there averages in poland the best league in the world ulamek and walasek are streets ahead of nicholls i guess that makes nicholls better than them ? .......do really think nicholls could have got into the gp's by getting past gp challage like ulamek and walasek ? the fact is he knows he can't so he ducks out . schumi
So what's Scott going to do next year? Will he stay with the team he dumped on, and who dumped on him in Sweden? And Rzeszow, in Poland, have been relegated. Uncertain times ahead for the global superstar.
Sandie
I am a big fan of Scott and of course would love to see him in the GPs again next year - he is certainly one of the more entertaining riders in the series. He has no right to be there next year though as he finished outside the top 8 and didn't do the qualifiers so if they picked others he would gave to accept it, as his fans would. However, the series has nevre been about who are the best current riders in the world - it's a series to attract sponsors, fans & viewers & ultimately make money. The qualifiers for this years series didn't really pull up any trees did they and all three are now out again. Holder failed to get through the qualifiers so if he gets a wildcard, why would anyone else bother doing them? It's not black and white this issue but yes I still think Scott adds to the series and I can't think of many others better who should replace him. The 'rights' of who should be in and out ended at the end of the German GP. Rightfully in are the top 8 Rightfully in are the qualifiers. No one else has the right. Holder has the same 'chance' as Scott - they are both National Champions but thats about where it ends. I want as many Brits in the 16 as possible as that is who gets my support but we will just have to wait and see. I am not saying dont debate but I am saying no one has any 'rights' in this. scotty2hotty
Why are the GP qualifiers never held in this country? Are they scared it might be unfair to the Poles.

RPNY
Next year's GP qualifier final is here, at Coventry. Is that the 1st one since the GP's started in 1995? I cannot remeber any of the final GP qualifiers (or GP challenge as it used to be) having been in England before.

I know it was only a couple of years ago that Coventry made the changes needed to the 2nd and 4th bends to get the accreditation needed. Humphrey Appleby
Out of interest - which UK stadia are currently official FIM registerd stadium and can run such meetings. In recent years, I think it may only be Coventry, Peterborough and Poole. In the past, Eastbourne and Arena-Essex were certainly FIM approved, as were Belle Vue and King's Lynn at one time. The latter would probably need work to bring them up to standard, but in principle their dimensions should mean they could get it without wholesale changes. I know it was only a couple of years ago that Coventry made the changes needed to the 2nd and 4th bends to get the accreditation needed. Thought Coventry was always FIM approved.
