TheStartTart
C'mon Nicki P!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Beat that Ginger Aussie!!!  I wish I could take credit for the post below, but it was on another speedway forum, it seems it might not be a two horse race. From: swaalen <swaalen@o...> Date: Mon Sep 22, 2003 9:13 am Subject: The Hamar Showdown  Hi all  This is how me figures things has to happen in Hamar:  Of course if Crump or Pedersen wins in Hamar they will be World Champion  If Adams wins in Hamar Rickardsson can NOT be World Champion  If Rickardsson wins in Hamar, Adams can NOT be World Champion  If Crump gets to the final, and Pedersen doesn`t Crump is World Champion  If Pedersen gets to the final and Crump doesn`t, Pedersen is World Champion  If both Pedersen and Crump gets to the final, whomever finish in front of the other is World Champion  If Rickardsson wins and Crump and Pedersen finish OUTSIDE the final Crump must finish 5th or 6th), Rickardsson is World Champion based on having the same amount of first and second places as Crump, but one third place to Crumps forth place (that ef at the tapes in Gothenburg can prove to be vital)  Pedersen can not be World Champion if he finishes outside the final and Rickardsson wins it  If Adams wins he is World Champion if Crump and Pedersen finish OUTSIDE the semifinals
fatface
Its all gearing up to be the most exciting finale yet in GP history. Much as I would like to see Nicki win, I have to say that Crumpy has really proved his mettle to me this year and would be a very worthy World Champ. Â Whatever the outcome - one thing is sure. On that tight track with everything yet to play for, I think we are virtually guaranteed to see some first corner "incidents" and a quite a bit of controversy here and there. Raquelle
Would love to see Crumpy win, but we all know what he's like with his gremlins. I hope his mechanic has every angle covered on Sat night (for his own sake!!) Personally I dont think that Nikki deserves it just yet. Give him a couple more years on the GP scene and yeah he'll deserve it. I heard at the beginning of the season that if Crumpy didnt win it this year he would never win it and would bow out of the series. Â Roll on Saturday!!!! TTF
Nicki so deserves it!!! He will def win he has to he's the more determined
Raquelle
Sorry TTF but dont agree with you on that on. He was so relaxed about it at the last GP saying that he was just glad to be up there with the best of 'em. Â For determination Crumpy has to win hands down. TTF
:-( i really hope Nicki wins :-( Â Guess he has fooled everyone in believing (is there another e in that? lol) that he doesn't want to win but then when sat comes bang he'll shine through lol I hope
norbold
Stop sitting on the fence, TTF. Â Why can't you just say who you want to win.
shazzybird
lol @ Norbold, I was beginning to think that TTF wanted Nicki P to win. Although she hasn't mentioned it for a while
TTF
How did you guess guys???? i didn't really want to let on that i want nicki to win your all really clever people
Guest BritPeter
No sitting on the fence here, I do not like the thought of either of these riders being the world champion, The lesser of the two evils I suppose is Crumpie, it is hard to imagine what sort of champion Nicki would make!! Â Adam's would make a great world champion, and like Rickardsson would be a true ambassador for the sport, unfortunately, the final will almost certainly be fought out by Pedersen and Crump, unless of course something amazing happens! Â One thing for sure, If Crumpie does win, my TV is going OFF straight away, I would not be able to cope with his gushing interview.
stevehone
can't believe TR is not included in the discussion..... :!: Â don't want him to win but it only takes JC and NP in their first heat to be looking for eachother a bit too much and TR can sneak straight back in.... Wackie
I'd love to see Tony win the overall championship again, but think it will take a major cock up on the part of Pedersen and Crump if he is to do it. Â Failing that I suppose I'd like Pedersen to win it overall. Not a huge fan of his (but that has more to do with his fan club members getting up my nose  ), but cannot stand Crump so it's the lesser of two evils. Â Like Britpeter, if Crump wins it the TV's going off straight away, but if he loses I'll keep the tape recording a little bit longer. Can imagine the dummy spitting scenes could be the most spectacular we have ever seen.
Leg Trailer
Pedersen as speedway ambasador: Â Appears juvenile, erratic and unpredicatable on the track. Has a bubbly personality and that lovable 'something' about him. Â Crump as speedway ambasador: Â Born leader, well balanced and stands up for himself and others. Calm in front of the camera and does not appear juvenile. Is prone to come across as stand offish and moody as a result of his artistic temprement. Â Take your pick ladies and gents. Hans Nielsen they ain't........
frigbo
But surely those traits you describe will attract more media attention than Hans ever could?
