If Tomasz got to grips with the temporary tracks he could well be World Champion in 2009 but in those meetings after one bad ride he gives up and toodles around at the back. Don't really think he has it in him to sustain a challenge for the whole season. Hans will be up and challenging next year and we could have a Nielsen Gundersen type situation IMO. BSI knew what they were doing, a massive crowd to cheer a banker home win, 95% of people who know speedway knew the result before the start! Sadly in doing so they killed speedway!!!!!!!!!!!! I for one will not attend another meeting that BSI make money from, well done 44 years of dedication to the sport down the pan!!!!!!!!!!!! So Copenhagen is not a temporary track then.......? And he won in Krsko too - so not just Bydgoczcz then.....? I don't really care anyway, as I just love watchng the man ride a speedway bike and am so pleased that he has said that he will give it another go in the SGP next year. Ok Gollob was superb but in Germany I doubt he would have been anywhere near as effective. Greg has been shafted by Olsen and whoever else made the decision last week. Can fully understand why he is so cheesed off. Hancock is usually very good on the temporary tracks where is is not just about speed and I reckon would have been a cert for a semi final berth while I don't reckon Gollob would have made it that far in Germany. I also wonder whether Nicki was really fit last week after some of the comments made by commentary, but then again it was Pearson and Tatum! Another week suited him just fine. In my opinion the only thing that would have had the same result is that Holta would still have claimed 8th spot from Nicholls who I suppose will still get a WC next year.(Wild Card that is and not a World Championship!) That's sad Suggs. I lost the faith during the 80's for a number of reasons, but came back and found a new interest due to TG's ability on a speedway bike - not just at Byd. As I said, I don't think TG should be blamed for the German fiasco. It didn't look a banker home win after TG's first heat and he didn't win the Polish GP there earlier in the year, so imo it was not a foregone conclusion, paticularly with the pressure that was on him. It was good to see that making 3rd in the championship meant more than the money, and well done to Hans Andersen for congratulating TG on track for his GP win.
