orion
Good point Trees! I was basing my comment on the premis that the riders will kidnap Olsen, tie him to a chair and lock him in a store cupboard so he can't ruin the track. Well make yourself clearer next time then i won't have to keep picking you up on things :
colincooke
Now hang on a minute - not sure two people really constitutes a majority. FWIW, Smoli is the rightful choice - not his fault yesterday was a royal cock-up by the organisers and I fully expect to see him riding there next week; but speaking as a neutal who watches these GPs in the sole hope of being entertained, I'd have rather seen Emil come in as a wild card there next week. World U21 Champ getting a chance and as a home track boy and would have the set up for the track and would definitely get stuck in there. With no disrespect intended, I'm not sure Smoli will have the same impact. Rabs you could never be included in this scenario for 1 moment. I do speak of a number of comments made last year & to be fair there we're a good few bees fans that didn't help the cause. Shovvy should know better. I see your point with Emil, but fair's fair. BTW, i like the tie him to a chair & lock him in a cupboard idea Edited October 12, 2008 by colincooke
Blazeaway
Not when olsen in charge it's not. the last couple have been crap ...........maybe they need some wet shale on it ? 2006 at Big Josh is widely regarded as one of, if not the best GP racing wise of all time. BeeBop
This is still the German GP (although it being in Poland ) and Martin Smolinski is the German Wild Card, end of!! He deserves his moment and lets hope he can throw in some good rides to make things more interesting. Go Martin.

LisaColette
Odd isn't it that this thread was started by a Poole fan. Last year Bees fans we're slated for being big- headed & thinking they have a right to everything, mostly by Pirate fans, boot on the other foot now & pot/kettle comes to mind. And now a bees fan is complaining!! How funny, maybe bees fans will think twice about doing it next year then!!!
LisaColette
Thank God someone else has mentioned this. Thought I was making it up Holder said he wasn't ready for the financial side of the gp, the racing side of it is a different matter!! Beeone
At least some sense has come out of this shambles, of course the wildcard & reserves should be the same they've not ballsed it all up have they so why should they miss out. Kris & Shovvy, B***ER OFF. I've just got back from Germany and totally agree. German grand prix, postponed. It is not another Polish GP or anything else. It was not the riders fault that the shale was shipped uncovered in torrential rain.
Seb the Snail
Good idea KrisB. Why have a German no hoper in it in Poland? Will hardly have hundreds of Germans streaming over the border to support him. Smolinski is a reserve/second string at best. Let Holder have the ride and a prelude to what he might be able to do if included in next years series. What a load of poppycock. Good luck to Smolinski next week. If he can beat Gjedde round Swindon in a Grand Final, surely he can beat the world's best round Bydgoszcz? If they were going to choose a different wild card, why would they pick Holder rather than Sajfutdinov? Emil has shown quite clearly that he has the measure of Chris at World Championship level, so he would surely be the choice if there was going to be a new wild card. Trees
Cos Holder has proved himself over in GB, on GB tracks of all shapes and sizes and surfaces, Emil has not
Blazeaway
Cos Holder has proved himself over in GB, on GB tracks of all shapes and sizes and surfaces, Emil has not That has nowt to do with it. Holder has been beaten twice by Emil in the U-21 final that enough should promote him above Chris. That said Holder does ride in the top division in Poland and was excellent yesterday. Trees
It was the reason I gave for people on this forum (the BRITISH SPEEDWAY forum) suggesting Holder should be wild card for this ill-fated final GP, nowt else. And anyways regarding Emil, I bet if Chris had the personal manager/entourage/sponsors etc that he has perhaps it would give him that small percentage of advantage that Emil has gained (afa the under 21 WC is concerned) over Chris. Then perhaps he should be a little more professional. Either way both guys are gonna give us some great entertainment over the next 10 years. Adder
Holder has had a chance to qualify for the GP series by rights and wasn't good enough to do so so why are people falling over each other to get him in as a wild card? There are far better riders in the world than Chris Holder at present that should be above him in the pecking order. The fact that he has an 8.5 point average in a very diluted British Elite League doesn't suddenly make him a World Champion.

He did Adams, the home rider, up like a kipper the two times they met.
