iris123
i say those who booked hotels and flights to germany go to the small claims court am sure when they send the reliavent papers to BSI and bsi`s reasons for postponing tonights meeting i see no reason for them to object to paying those unfortunate folks that took there own time and money to see what should have been a thrilling climax to the GP season , and for a comment reflecting the german GP organisers is a hefty fine & a 1 to 2 year ban on staging future GP`s ! Why the last bit?I mean if the stuff was soaked on its way to Germany from Denmark what have the Germans to do with it?Olsen organises all that surely. And so your suggestion is get the money off BSI and then they get off the hook by getting the money off of the promoter? Anyway,it seems that they were looking for out,at least from Gelsenkirchen,so a ban is hardly likely to bother anyone.Plus other organisers could theoretically come along. Not likely after this scandal though
nightrider
I am gutted for all those of you who travelled to Gelsenkirchen or 'Germansmirken' as some may now re-name it. All their costs will have been covered by insurance, hotel, beer and tourist sales will have rocketed the local economy and the poor old Poles, Brits, Danes, Swedes etc who made the long trip for the 'supposed' final and most exiting GP of 2008 have lost out massively. Are there many going to travel to Poland next Saturday? - I doubt it. Surely the Poles can't afford to put on such a huge event with such a financial short fall which they no doubt will have to cover themselves. Â Bloody farce is all I can say. They've had 3 or 4 days to dry the track out and if the Brits there are saying it's really warm and there's ben no rain - then surely keeping the roof open would have dried out the track? Â Â All I can say is there's a lot of funny handshakes, nods and slapping of thighs going on somewhere. Â A very disgruntled, bemused and cynical Nightrider. THE Wolverine
I think it might be the "Danish Connection" that Leigh Adams referred to after the Cardiff GP this year. Â What a load of old codswallop ..... the jealousy surrounding Nicki Pedersen is getting beyond a joke now .... Crump will never be as good as Pedersen if he rides untill he is a hundred ... he spent years playing settle fiddle to Trick & now he is gonna be doing the same with Nicki ... deal with it Ginger Whinger

Not only was there no meeting, but they've had their weekend away ruined  The circus has been shown to be a Circus....what a shame. You canot sue somebody from another country in the small claims court. Is there anybody on this site that has not gone to a Speedway Meeting that has been cancelled before or part on the way through. There are people posting on here saying whose fault it is and nobody has a clue. If you take a sun holiday abroad and it rains every day there is nothing you can do about it. I went to the German GP here last season and the weekend was great but the track and racing was absmal so I did not go this year. From the feeback so did a lot of other people that was why ticket sales were so poor. Forget giving anybody a hefty fine or bans for Gelschenkirschen(how does anybody know it was their fault) it will not feature in any future GP's

tarabanko
Still very annoyed..... Â Serious sport? Up my backside I say. Its easy to complain but you that has paying money for this joke shall be angry as it is not professional done by the BSI/IMG. Â I am loosing my intrest in Speedway. Riders getting paralysed or seriously hurt and rubbishe tracks in the GP which shall be the absolute best in the world to see. The tracks are SLICK and slicker and racing is boring and tracks that are been racing on temporally is absolute a disgrace ( Gothenburg, Cardiff) and even the tracks that are using for league speedway is not the same as in the league as in the Gps, its always dead slick in the Gps. Ill sound as a crybaby but.... my heart is aching to see my favourite sport being promoted so BAD as it was today. Â / Mikael
