Mr Bee
It has been mooted to me that it could be a deliberate ploy by the promotion:- Tickets sales reportely to be very poor indeed. (Just a couple of thousand?) Meeting insured for a call off. Polonia Bydgoszcz already lined up for next saturday. City Hotel Bydgoszcz suprisingly fully booked. Guaranteed mega sell out with T Gollob set to pick up $200k. I smell a rat. I think that you are spot on with that.

I'v been in hospital since Thursday, got discharged at 15.00 Saturday afternoon and went home looking forward to the last GP of the season. When i turned my PC on and read that this GP was cancelled and the rerun was to be held in Poland, where attendances for league matches are higher than some GP'S,my very first thought was exactly what you wrote pugwash. Dungoid
Checked the webcam and it's been ripped up as one expected. What a total disaster for SGP - such a shame, but maybe this might be a wakeup call, let OO direct the race and someone else build and deliver the track. If all the things about ticket sales and poorly pedo etc come out to be the real cause it will self destruct SGP. just feel for everyone who has spent good hard earned dosh in these credit crunch times to get there and it be orf. 5 FURROW
What a farce!!!! Be interesting to see who carries the can for this one! It simply isn't acceptable for Olsen/BSI/IMG to blame the "locals" like they did after Gothenburg. Feel very sorry for all those who made the trip out there. Gollob will be happy about the location for the re-staging though. Hopefully Smolinski gets to keep his wild card spot. Olsen and his team should carry the can for this one talking to a stadium worker on saturday he quoted to me that the reason that the shale had got to wet was down to the cost of 2000 euros for sheeting to keep the shale dry to me thats about 1600 pounds i would say thats peanuts to what its will cost I M G in expenses and refunds for me should be the first to get the sack along with a few more

westhamboy66
Just a little side issue Just how do you get your money back let alone the "free tickets" for next year"? I have emailed see tickets...no response I have phoned see tickets and there is no one available I have used other phone numbers on their website and the phone just rings Seems that getting the money back etc is going to be a pain After the aborted Ullevi meeting I should have learned a lesson I suppose

Why do you boycott world finals after 1975, did Oxford fans boycott Oxford after they had a rain off on one of the hottest days of the year once over. Dspite one or two luddites who are revelling in this, the GP will continue to go from strength to strength

Humphrey Appleby
did Oxford fans boycott Oxford after they had a rain off on one of the hottest days of the year once over. After that debacle, I think many fans indeed never returned.

There's an old saying about fools and their money being easily parted. After being treated the way you were this weekend, you're happy to give the BSI shower even more of your money?
