Ipswich 4tt - Thursday 16th October?

Recommended Posts

Anybody heard anything about this meeting and the type of riders invited?

Hopefully Ipswich will use this as a chance to look at some young talent in readiness fro 2009, and not just the usual old faces.

Looking at the team they ended up with it certainly needs shaking up if they cannot hang onto Swiderski & Schlein, out of the remainder only Kroner and Schramm look worth keeping with the axe falling on Hampel, Miskowiak and Johnno

And the only one with real talent got snapped up by our wealthier friends from up the road. Not too sure what it is, either,

A, we haven't got enough money or

B, we aren't prepared to gamble.

Totally agree with those. Sadly for us witches fans, i was talking to swidders on friday and i got the distinct impression he's expecting to go back to p'boro and spearhead the team with bjerre.

Apparently it is a 4 team challenge between youngsters from Poland, Australia, UK and The rest of the World/Sweden (someone said RoW and others said Sweden....I wasn't listening properly to the announcement at the time!)

Hopefully the Poles cant turn up (when will Louis learn  ) and its between youngsters from UK, Australia, UK , and the rest of the world

And that no current riders il be included, as surely they know enough about them!!

I think we'll be seeing the likes of of Schramm, Kozza, Darcy, Sweetman, Stojanowski, there is also a rumour going around that Louis has invited Tai but no confirmation in that yet. The format will consist of PL ability riders on the younger side so i heard.

Posted by Wiedzma on errr...well can't say yet.

Chris Louis said to Mike Bacon on his webchat today that the four teams will be; Young Lions v Young Eagles v Young Euros v Young AN Other.

Riders for the Young Lions include Tai Woffinden, Joe Haines, James Wright and Chris Schramm. Other riders confirmed are Linus Sunsgtrom, Leon Madsen and Sunke Pietersen.

Chris Louis said "Most of the riders are non-contracted, young and we want to take a look at them." "We would like the crowd to judge them too."

Sounds a decent start, hope for once Ipswich may consider some young Aussies

The interesting one there for me is Zengota. He's a talented lad and definitely has something about him. He's impressed me this year in Poland and with Ipswich liking their Poles and looking to add to their rather small asset base then getting this lad on the books would be a shrewd move. Be interesting to see how he gets on.

Ummm so the 4TT becomes a six rider meeting, hopefully Ipswich will be putting on a second half or reducing admission for this event!

Will give this a look but sadly feel it the same old same old as far as Ipswich are concerned.

Two Brits they have no chance of signing (Woffinden & Wright), two Aussies that hardly set the pulses racing, when will they tap into the stream of young Aussies, and ohh what a shock four more Poles. Hopefully the Swedes/Danes? will be useful although if memory serves Leon Madsen already has 'history' when it comes to riding in the UK!

Of the Poles Zengota did look quiet impressive in the World U21's at Rye earlier this year, but surely the time has come for Ipswich to look elsewhere for riders!

Like the look of Zengota when i have seen him before, but will he be there as he is now a reserve for the GP?

Along with tai, he's about the only one with real talent. But as it appears the promotion have decided to charge elite prices for this, i wont be bothering. I've had the pleasure of watching all of these this season, and the likes of sonke petersen are hardly an attraction. I just cant see how they can justify elite prices, when there isn't even one elite league heat leader on show.
