Parsloes 1928 nearly
Saint Sarjeant to make bow Speedway fans will get their first chance to see 2009 Scunthorpe Saints’ rider James Sarjeant in senior action on Monday night at the Eddie Wright Raceway. 14-year old James, who has been runner-up in the British Under-15 Championship for the last two years, will step up to ride in the British Under-18 Championship after Weymouth’s Kyle Newman was forced to pull out of the meeting. Surely he's not allowed to ride at 14 against these riders over 15 is he..???
Scunny Stag
Surely he's not allowed to ride at 14 against these riders over 15 is he..??? It has happened for the last few years in the British Under-18 Final.

June
Its a lovely day in Scunny....dry & sunny with blue sky, looks ideal for tonight but it'll probably turn cold later on....wrap up just in case!
Parsloes 1928 nearly
Although somewhat in the style of the Premier League of Football the top three look pretty much booked with Woffinden, Haines and Auty.... Hmm, have you not heard of Hull City FC then, Phil..?? For the Tigers of Humberside, read Asbo of Sevenoaks!! Good luck to Aaron!!!
Lee7
"Why not?, neither Workington or Boston are riding tomorrow so he will be there I would assume! I don't know why he didn't ride at Plymouth friday, maybe he didn't fancy the trip from Plymouth to Berwick It's certainly not a kick in the teeth for Boston Whippy, after all this is the British U18 Final! A little bit of perspective is needed I feel. Haines "wasnt allowed" to ride at Weymouth last Friday (24/10) even though Workington were not riding that day, they were riding on the Saturday at Berwick then on the Sunday at home to Berwick. As the Berwick meeting was off on Saturday and will be re-arranged after this meeting, it would be a kick in the teeth for Boston if he rode here. Of course none of this is Joe Haines fault, so im not having a go at him!! Edited October 27, 2008 by Lee7

Peter
Seems like we are seeing the effects of the PL clubs signing a lot foreigners and the CL allowing them. There were two and three rider races at Scunthorpe. No wonder there weren't any replacements. There probably aren't any because of the big increase in overseas riders below EL standard. godmother
Just returned from a cold Scunthorpe raceway, and have enjoyed the racing. There was always only going to be one winner, and he did it in style. Some good racing from Hart, Haines,Taylor and Auty, although I thought Auty looked either not bothered, unwell or down on power( or all three ?) The rider who most impressed me was Marc Owen. Saw him at Buxton in the under 15 meeting and liked him there. He was neat and tidy with a nice style. Will keep an eye out for him next season. Not sure where the missing riders were, but perhaps its lack of machinery at the end of the season, and not everyone has an endless supply of cash for tuning and repairs. Was disappointed not to see Jason Garrity again as he is the best thing I have seen for a long while.
UnitedUnitedUnited
Good meeting tonight, was always 5-6 riders in control. Tai - never got past 75% it seemed, awesome, maybe should off started from a 15 metre handicap to challenge him! Taylor - Best rider to watch, didnt make the starts and did it all from behind. Haines - Quick, just didnt do the job in the final, still came 2nd IMO. Auty - One line rider and can see why he struggles in the prem. Hart - Solid, but nothing spectacular. Them 5 were well ahead off the rest, good track and first time been back for 2 seasons and definately improved there, well run, shame about the food as thought it was awful, but a good nights entertainment, and wasnt to cold I didnt think....was wearing 5 layers and a hat and gloves
