Anyone know if young Tom is riding in the (also final) round on the Under 15s Speedway championship the week before at Hi Edge..??

Would be fascinating to see Tom up against Marc..!! :approve:

Tom is indeed riding in the final U15 round next week.

are the 250cc machines aloud to race in the same race as the 500cc machines, as the speedway rule book says that they cant. nathan does not care about riding against the bigger lads or bikes as hes glad to get a ride. but its a long way to travel from devon if when we get there and found out he cant ride. many thanks phil stoneman.(father)

Hi Phil --the 250' s will have 6 races of their own so Nathan should get 4 rides.

Still a few places to fill in both the main meeting and the 250's.

My computer has a major bug in it at the moment and I cannot access my e-mails at home. You can send them to my business one : laurencerogers@uk2.net or phone 07801429304.

Jake Knight is a doubt as he has glandular fever (get well soon Jake)... but so far confirmed are : Brendan Johnson, Ashley Morris, Joe Jacobs, Scott Meakins, Kyle Howarth, James Sergeant, Jason Garrity, Jack Butler, Richard Andrews, Lloyd Barrett. We are also awaiting clearance if Adam Kirby can ride as he is not 14 until Feb but has been passed as proficient.

Added 3/10/08 : Marc Owen, Jack Hirst.

Added 6/10/08 : Richard Andrews ; Lloyd Barrett

250's : Nathan Stoneman, Jack Cornes, Adam Portwood.; Tyler Govier ; Lloyd Barrett (TBC)

More news as we add riders and sort out teams.

Laurence

I am sure I have asked you this already but if Adam gets clearance can you let me know, please ?

I'll definitely be over if he does.

Best of luck to Adam

Thanks to Nikko and Halifax tiger for the support they are showing for me.

I just hope i can give a good account of myself as this will be my first competitive meeting.

Also hope i can keep my nerves under control as this will be the first time i have been out with three other riders at the same time.

Also thanks to Laurence Rogers and mildenhall speedway for giving me the chance to ride.

Many thanks Adam Kirby.

Have had to give Adam Kirby the disappointing news that he cannot line-up in the meeting after all. If he was on a 250 he could have ridden in the 250 event but he is on a 500 but is not 14 till February. Naturally he is really disappointed with the news --but his time will come although at the moment that must seems a million years away for the lad .

Also had text off Marc Owen to say that the Eastbourne meeting he was due to ride in on Saturday is now on Sunday and he riding for the Rye House Academy team --so we are working on a replacement for Marc.

Joe Jacobs hope to be fit enough to ride after crashing yesterday. He has a minor fracture in his hand and heavy bruising.

Full line-ups soon from Jayne.

ALSO --a BIG thank you to Barry Simpson who has agreed to give product sponsorship for the meeting and I am sure the lads will be pleased with this .

Hi Laurence

As you have guessed Adam is very disappointed but like you said his time will come (next season)  . I would also like to say a big thank you for all you have done for adam by giving him his chance to do some demo laps at mildenhall this season. Adam is pleased with the progress he has made this year and hopes he can carrry on improving for the remainder of this year by getting some practice sessions somewhere.

I'll be down at Sittingbourne over the winter practising with Mark and Aaron (Team Baseby Racing), so hopefully see you there

I think Adam should be very pleased with his progress this year, well done and keep it up.

Does anyone know how much it will be to watch the U 16 meeting at Buxton, because I may try to take a few local lads to stir up potential interest in the sport
