Sandie
Pleased you have posted this Rick. Thought about posting on Sunday but I was having a miserable day and didnt want to see all the negative / mocking posts that this news will undoubtedly attract. But personally I think its great news Congratulations Billy J. xx EDIT - Im sure TMG will look in here so he, or someone else will hopefully answer - I recognise a lot of the names in the line up but notice Dale Facchini not there. Is he still riding / was there a qualification ? Edited September 23, 2008 by Sandie

Subedei
Well done billy on being national champion. Sad that it's come to this. A Joke as America's national champion. Not something to be shouting about, surely?

Is he still riding / was there a qualification ? Dale chose not to ride the 2nd of the three rounds knocking him out for a chance in the third round. He took a break from speedway for about 2 months than came back. He is riding pretty well now.

It might be a joke to you but its not to us. Some of your boys have ventured across the pond only to be shown the way around by some of our less talented riders. As you would say. RPNY
Sad that it's come to this. A Joke as America's national champion. Not something to be shouting about, surely? Please tell me how he is a joke? I see Billy J, tho not a world beater, a good team man & consistant Elite league performer. If he was that much of a joke he wouldnt be brought back into Coventry's team every year, helping them to win league titles and cup competitions. Are you suggesting Colin Pratt doesn't have an idea of which riders are good and which are, as you put it, a 'joke'

Just goes to show how far they have slipped down the world stage.

Not something to be shouting about, surely? not shouting about it!! he can't help it if hamill and hancock aren't taking part. i just thought i would be nice and congratulate him on it instead of being like everyone else who moans about him winning and being national champion like they did when skornicki, zorro and holder won their national championships this year. oh, are the bees management buying him a present like the poole management did with our riders?? Just goes to show how far they have slipped down the world stage. Greg & Billy both didnt ride this year, so it was a weakend field... I do appreciate what you are saying but to address Janiro as a joke is just insulting. Going off track a bit, the yanks are struggling at the moment but these things tend to go in cycles. There was a time in the 90's when they took over from the Danes & were winning eveything & the Aussies were very much struggling to compete on the world stage, Poles were pretty much non existant & the Brits were, well the Brits... At the moment it's the Danes, Poles & Aussies are the dominant forces, but you never know what the future holds.

Subedei
I do appreciate what you are saying but to address Janiro as a joke is just insulting. And, of course, it's not insulting to spell his name incorrectly. It's Janniro. And he is a joke and seems content with that. After all , the guy has plenty of ability, but he seems content just to faff around.

I think it's more insulting to call someone a joke than it is to miss spell their name - my apologies for that, I work in the city & it's a little manic right now. You seem to not want to answer the question of whether or not Colin Pratt is a good judge of a rider and have also ignored that he has been an integral part of a Coventry team that has won many trophies in the last few years. If you were to say that he hasn't reached his potential, then I would at least think you had a sensible argument. But you, sensible wasn't going to happen was it petal. Ah, so you're just waiting and hoping that the rest of us pull you out of the mire. Janniro is a joke and that's all there is to it.
