Anyone got any news on this meeting?

I've tried the website but it just has it as reserved

Is it on

No offence , but the Ashfield Classic is already on this Sunday and the field is in place . Doesn't make a lot of sense to have two individual meetings in the North on that day . Berwick and Redcar riders are already committed to the Glasgow meeting and Edinburgh are riding at Birmingham . So it might be a struggle getting a field together .

Its listed on the BSPA site Matty (but then again they also had Glasgow down to host Stoke last Wednesday!)

Just over 24 hours to this meeting and nothing but notification that a meeting is to be staged on the official website, no idea of who is riding, what the racing format is, admission prices or anything to do with the meeting. The silence coming out of the club has been deafening. How can they expect a good crowd with such little publicity.

I am afraid I have to agree with you on this one. If Graeme or Ricky are reading this, is there any chance of telling us the riders in this meeting, as I am sure the match magazine will have 'gone to the printers' by now, or are we going to be doing a lot of writing filling in the blanks tomorrow?

The Sapphire Enginieerng Diamonds face a tough task to come out on top in Sunday's Precision Trophy.

The Sapphire Engineering Precision Trophy takes place at the Newcastle Stadium on Sunday evening (Sept 28th @ 5.30pm).

In the meeting the 6 remaining Diamonds face tough top competition to come out on top in the meeting backed by their team sponsors.

Redcar duo, Ty Proctor and Chris Kerr will lead the challenge against the Sapphire Engineeriing Diamonds and first season success, Proctor, has made no secret of his liking for the Brough Park track.

Former Newcastle rider Carl Wilkinson will once again thrill the crowds as he lines up in the meeting alongside his team mate Emiliano Sanchez while Young England star also makes the journey north from his Sheffield base.

As well as the on track action there will be fun and games in the interval with several riders taking place in a wheelie competition to give added entertainment to the spectators.

Sadly Steve I couldn't have helped. My crystal ball is in getting repaired at the moment. There's no chance of me telling anyone the riders when I didn't know myself - I had the line-up confirmed to me this morning. The magazine "went to the printers" this afternoon, after I'd had to pull the entire thing together this morning in a freezing cold office when I'm full of cold.

I for one am looking forward to the match - having sat in front of computer screens for something like 99% of matches home and away this entire season to bring everyone else live updates, I'm looking forward to the chance to actually see some action at this match.

All we're waiting on now is for someone to come along and start pulling the line-up to bits and complaining about the field - and I'm sure that won't take long...

We've had a cr@p year, a team that hasn't worked, and we've had cr@ppy weather. I've also had a cr@ppy week and an even cr@ppier Saturday so far. And now I've gotta go shopping!

I've forgotten about 2008 now, past caring to be honest - roll on 2009...!
