wjm
More constructive than you. But that's not jolly hard, is it? Not really no.
schumi
and the unbiased judges schumi (I think, hope I'm not putting words in her mouth here) Yes, I did think it was harsh that Gollob was excluded. That's not to say I necessarily think Crump should have been excluded, but the rules being the rules someone had to go. But, I made my point and then had a joke about it and haven't posted since. To put me in with a list of people who you appear to think this of offends me a little, but I still stick by my views. In my eyes what makes it difficult for the more vociferous posters who always believe they are right and are aggressive and abusive in their approach is that I discount some of what they say because of their "of course I can't be wrong, it's not possible and I'll shout you down if you don't agree with me" attitude and I tend to believe the people I see as more reasonable in their outlook. It may be that the pedants are right (I suppose on the law of averages they must be right some of the time) but how I view their personalities doesn't do them any favours when I'm working out who I believe or not. On what I've read I'm subscribing to the theory that Gollob was correctly treated. Edited September 29, 2008 by schumi
tyler42
Pedersen has got some front to say crump got off it. He does all the time. Twice at Cardiff, once before with Crump. He just can't except being beaten fair and square.

norbold
Still, what happened to Trotsky? Out witted by Stalin. He can't have been very good, can he? Stalin is a titan of history, Trotsky a footnote; so the terminology is as irrelevent as Trotsky himself. What happened to Gollob? Outwitted by Crump and the referee. He can't have been very good, can he? Crump is a titan of speedway history, Gollob a footnote.

Crikey, if Gollob's at the bottom of the food chain, where does that leave Nicholls, who steamed through the tapes just because Gollob twitched slightly? Subedei
What happened to Gollob? Outwitted by Crump and the referee. He can't have been very good, can he? Crump is a titan of speedway history, Gollob a footnote. No cheated by the officials, on this occasion. Crump is a titan of world speedway and it does look as if Gollob will be just a footnote. But, as long as he doesn't end up with an ice pick in his brain, he's doing better than Trotsky. Crump is a rider I admire greatly and if you check the balance of my posts you'll see that. But it is my view that he was at fault on Saturday. Gollob's move was perfectly fair.

pedropete
And yet more typical parochial Australian ignorance. Ther only people I see here agreeing with the decision are Australian-lovers, Belle Vue supporters and other assorted quarterwits. I am neither of the above. I am a pure speedway fan who sees it as it is, and have no obvious vendettas like you have about Scotty and I really like Tomasz Gollob, love going to poland and the Polish people, and I agree Jason went down easily, but Tomasz did clip him, so end of story he had to be excluded. BigFatDave
Im a quaterwit, you can have the other three quaters. .......doubtless a relic of that fine British Sci-fi series "Quaterwit and the Pit"! Either that or if you've been takin' spellin' lessons off SCB you really are a screm. As for the inherent racism displayed by a certain narrow-minded - one might say blinkered - poster on here; if that's your preferred level of debate may I suggest you set up your own forum? Oh, you already have?
Guest Sir Lunchalot
Oh how very fitting from an Admin. Going to give yourself a warning for that, are you? All in all a comment that really just proves my point and shows how ill-suited you are to being an administrator. No doubt you'll soon be exercising your power or crying to Phil looking to get me banned. All rather pathetic, which rather sums you up. Agreed. I'll do my best to delete my membership if it will let me. Not sure it will let me but it's worth a try.

Wow Sub - I thought you and I were 'mates'....as i'm definiatley not an Aussie lover or a Belle Vue fan you must think I fall in the other catgory...thanks a bunch pal! Occasionally - JUST occasionally - you might be wrong about something...have you ever allowed such thoughts to enter your mind?

Please help this deletion. This Forum is turning nasty and we dont need it. I dont always appreciate it but we British are a very fair minded nation. I would not dream of joining a Polish Speedway Forum and slagging their riders off. Take Tomasz Gollob out of the equation and they have no top riders either, they are not exactly global superstars. Bryn
Come Back LUNCHY!! Yes indeed DO come back Lunchy mate and simply DON'T let the few twerps that come on this BSF from time to time spouting absolute piffle in the vain hope that they will get noticed get to ya! Trees
Surely if Sube keeps calling posters names he should get a ban, it's against the rules after all, he's soooooooooooooo rude!
Vince
I really hope that Lunchy hasn't gone on account of somebody who thinks himself highly intelligent yet is completely unable to see two points of view on the same subject and then resorts to insulting those who dare to differ from his infallible opinion. What Lunchy said one time was nowhere near as bad as Subedei has spouted on this thread alone. Could be that he has some valid points to make but I can rarely be bothered to read past the self praise or abuse of forum members and riders that start virtually every post. It would be a real shame to lose a single decent forum member on account of that eigthwit!
