DragonsDen
The draw for the CLRC courtesy of the BSPA website: Aaron Baseby (Sittingbourne), Byron Bekker (Scunthorpe), Tom Brown (Plymouth), Benji Compton (Redcar), Dean Felton (Sittingbourne), Daniel Halsey (Rye House), Jay Herne (Weymouth), Kyle Hughes (Plymouth), Scott James (Redcar), Simon Lambert (Boston), Kyle Newman (Weymouth), Jack Roberts (Buxton), Scott Richardson (Scunthorpe), Rob Smith (Rye House), Ben Taylor (Buxton), Darcy Ward (Boston). Reserves: Harland Cook (Sittingbourne), Gary Cottham (Rye House). Not sure how big the crowd will be now that Rye have re-arranged the PL Newcastle meeting for the night before but good luck to all the riders invovled. Nemo
What a shame Joe Haines isnt in the line up I think he would have walked this meeting quite easily

With all due respect, surely the CLRC is a far bigger draw than a fairly inconsequential PL match..??!!
Shadders
Tom Brown is definitely in with a shout in this going on his form guesting for Berwick at Rye House.
Searley
If Danny Halsey rides like he has done at Rye in the last few meetings, he will win it! Edited September 14, 2008 by Searley
redcarcub
Richard Lawson replaces Scott James for Redcar. With Rich currently averaging 8.61 from 7 meetings and being a very good gater, I'm sure he will surprise a few on the night!

And if Richard was to win it must surely be the quickest ever rise from nowhere to a major title in Speedway history.....

I think he has a serious chance of making the final. The only thing that could count against him is that hes never seen the track, but as a good gater, if he makes the gate, he will do well. Hot-Shot
yeh shame CLRC isn't run completely on its own, then we could have John Branney representing us but im sure Ben Taylor and Jack Roberts (if fit) will do a great job ! BossMan
With all due respect, surely the CLRC is a far bigger draw than a fairly inconsequential PL match..??!! Depends if you are a Rye House Rockets supporter- a win against Newcastle gets them in the "Play Off's" In today's current financial climate there will be people that cannot afford to go to both. Parsloes 1928 nearly
Because the Mods won't allow threads like this about the Conference and of interest to Conference posters to be in the, er, Conference section here we are on CLRC day and hardly anyone's posted..!! Ah well.. Anyhow best of luck to Deano and Aaron from Sittingbourne. Neither are too likely to win I guess; and let me nail my colours to the mast and say that if they can't I hope the title goes to Byron Bekker.. IMHO, no-one has served the Conference better over the past four and a bit seasons. I know 'Boris' is very keen to win his first "individual" over here and only an awful crash in the Bronze Helmet denied him a real shot at that title. A terrific rider and a great bloke. Good luck tonight, Byron!!

Bandits4eva
Out of the field there is tonight I'd have to say the person I can see posing a real threat is Tom Brown... Good Luck to him

I am convinced every section is down on posts this year but have to agree that meetings like this should be in the CL section, even if it is an individual meeting Anyone know the riding order tonight
iand
Top 4 Prediction Tom Brown Darcy Ward Danny Halsey Simon Lambert Up to a few weeks ago i would have said Danny to win, but seems to be struggling a bit me. Tom Brown looked good this season both times he visited Rye, and Darcy Ward looked very good last week for Boston after his 1st ride. Not sure how fit Lambert is after last weeks fall . Rob Smith as an outsider.
BobC
Anyone know the riding order tonight Speedway Star has the following.... 1 Benji Compton 2 Darcy Ward 3 Daniel Halsey 4 Byron Bekker 5 Tom Brown 6 Jack Roberts 7 Scott Richardson 8 Jay Herne 9 Scott James 10 Rob Smith 11 Ben Taylor 12 Kyle Newman 13 Dean Felton 14 Simon Lambert 15 Kyle Hughes 16 Aaron Baseby If its not going to be a Weymouth rider, then Id like Kyle Hughes to win. See you all later.Usual place for those that know me! Edited September 27, 2008 by BobC
