On another thread it says Mads gets a go instead of Jonas. Thought it would have been Pavlic as he is No 17, but Mads was in Jonas's semi. Anyone able to confirm?

SGP Website: "MADS Korneliussen has won a late call-up to Sunday's World Championship Qualifying Final.

The Danish rider comes in for Jonas Davidsson, who has officially withdrawn due to injury."

I was hoping the top three will be Peter Karlsson, Neils K Iversen and Daniel Nermark but Daniel is out for the season so I will hope Jurica Pavlic gets in as he will liven it up a bity next season and hope Emil Sajfutdinov gets a wild card as well.

Heat 3 will be a tough ride for all four as a last place will dent their hopes while Heat 19 sees Meidinski, Gjedde, Bjerre and Richardson.

My head however says PK will miss out and Walasek or Meidinski will get in.

Walasek, Sullivan and hopefully Rico. :approve:

Like TNT I'd love Pavlic to make it, even though that could have an adverse effect on his performances for Swindon next season. A year too soon for him though, I reckon.

Almost half the field has a Swindon connection so there will be plenty of Wiltshire eyes on tomorrow's result. As long as it's not Bjerre; he scraped through on the back of Davey Watt's missed flight and has been picking and choosing which days his leg has been broken all summer. I'll bet it's in full working order tomorrow.

A poor lineup and nothing there that inspires. Whoever goes through will do nothing in 2009 to liven up the GP series.

I hope and pray old hands don't make it though.

C'mon SS, it isn't a bad line up and I think a few could have some good scores in the GP next season even if its the odd meeting and best qualified for that would be Sullivan, PK and Bjerre.

However Pavlic will go well in the GP's just as much as Holder would if he gets a wild card.

Can't believe so many are predicting Sullivan.....surely his EL form says 'I'm past it' and IMO I think he has done well to get as far as the challenge.

It is quite a weak meeting and I hope someone like Pavlic or Bjerre can step up but at the moment I would say; even though they have earned the right; I think stronger riders could be selected from elsewhere instead of this meeting.

Where?

People talk about Holder, Sajfutdinov, Pavlic and Woffinden, just like they used to talk about Kasprzak, Zagar, Lindback and Lindgren. And look at what happened to them. At the minute there are six riders head and shoulders above the rest in the GPs (Nicki P, Crump, Hancock, Gollob, Andersen and Adams), with Jonsson on the fringes and the rest scrambling for occasional scraps.

I cant see NKI doing anything here. He struggled in tonights Gp. It doesnt look a very strong line up IMO. I think it will be between Sullivan, Zagar, Bjerre, Walasek and Miedzinski, in no particular order.

Is there an live update for this meeting anywhere? And what time does it start?

it starts at 18.00 CET (17.00 British Time).

Fully agree. Whatever the merits of this line up at least they have all been through the qualifiers and therefore fully deserve to be described the "best of the rest".

Is the format of this meeting a 20 heat affair with a final tagged on?

I don't think there is a final. There wasn't last year. Just a race-off between the Dullard and Tomicek for the final qualifying place.

Thanks. I couldn't remember last year but I could recall PK missing out in a final a couple of years ago. Much fairer to do it over the 20 heats.

Worst thing that could possibly happen for BSI is for Sullivan to quaify. A rider well past his sell by date who is getting by on his gating in league meetings. It will also end any chance Holder will have of getting a wild card place.

Holder or Sullivan? I know who the majority of fans and BSI would want in to liven up the series.

Hopefully Pavlic, Bjerre and Zagar will get in.
