I am confused....If Masarna are declared bankrupt, does that not affect the whole club, including Dalakraft, OR are Team Dalakraft in effect a separate club, especially where finances are concerned ?

Team Dalakraft is a separate club like all other 2nd teams. i think its a rule thing that one club cant have more then one team.

i think Masarna is Avesta SK (Sport/speedway Club) and Team Dalakraft is Gasarna SK

dackarnas Team:

Hans Andersen Danmark

Andreas Jonsson Sverige

Peter Karlsson Sverige

Fredrik Lindgren Sverige

Grzegorz Zengota Polen

Rory Schlein Australien

Nikolai Klindt Danmark

Ludvig Lindgren Sverige

Christian Isomettä Sverige

this means that Dackarna twice during this season have "stolen" a contracted rider from Smederna.

Would I be correct in my thinking that only Dackarna, Elit Vetlanda and Lejonen really have the finances available to compete at Elit Serien level, with a lot of other clubs (Masarna, Hammarby and Smederna for example) having serious financial difficulties ?

Will promoted Vargarna be able to put together a competitive team ?

well Lejonen , Dackarna and Elit Vetlanda have the big money and can seems to be able to sign anyone they like contract or not.

Also you should add Västervik to those with financial difficulties. About Smederna, i know they are negotiating with 2 different companies about either of them buying the team and arena name which would bring in some £120'000 to the team.

That was the case up to, and including, the 2007 season. From 2008, a club can have 2 teams within the organization, but the second team can't advance from the Division 1 league to Allsvenskan. AFAIK, in Division 1, Team Dalakraft, Team Bikab, Filbyterna, Vikingarna, Gnistorna and Eldarna operated as a stand-alone clubs, while Njudungarna (Elit Vetlanda), Crossbone Pirates (Piraterna) and Team CanVac (Örnarna) were 2nd teams within an existing organizaton. I don't know if Stjärnorna were a registred team within the MK Orion (Rospiggarna) or SMK Gävle club.

They (Dackarna) can't have "stolen" contracted riders. Either Smederna must have chosen to let them go, or Smederna have had some money for it, a contracted rider will always cost money for a team to acquire. Must be the team that holds a rider's contract that issue the conditions for a transfer.

Regarding Schlein, it seems that Troy Batchelor is going the other way in the Rory Schlein transfer, so I guess a swap deal has been reach.

Blaming Dackarna in this case seems unfair. (Can't believe I'm defending Dackarna :D )

Yes i wouls agrre with Anders. Not sure 100% but i thought Smederna were not really interested in Klindt. He wasn't going well there and only turned his season around when he moved away.Being a part Smederna fan i hope the deal comes through ok.At least they seem to be one of the teams that are living within their budget, even though the team can't compete with the top clubs.

I now know that Smederna wanted to "get rid" of Schlein (according to media as no official news is available and the guestbook is closed) which is hard for me to understand with his low average and high capacity (even if he didnt show it this season) so IMO Dackarna made a good deal but Smederna didnt. so i take back my complaints on Dackrana.

Batchelor is a good prospect but i dont expect him to score that many points. I think that Schlein will be better much next year.

Also it looks like Mikael Max is heading towards Smederna. To be honest i rather see that he stayed in Småland.

Possible he might be capable for Bikab but definitely not for Smederna. His average is too high for his capacity. He has been s*** all since his accident a few years ago and i doubt that he'll improve. I know Smedernas economy is really bad but letting Schlein go was a big mistake and i doubt M.max is especially cheap.

About Klindt he only rode one meeting for Smederna in which he didnt really put in any effort and i suspect that he probably would have gotten more rides if he had stayed.

:lol::lol:

I mean to have tinted glasses you need to have tinted glasses... Take a good step back and look at the bigger picture including a few years back...

Of course I'm only saying this based on what I've read in the media, we have people here that know what's really going on and they know better if not best.

I am just going on what they tell me here and the fact that the team is crap

When i have questioned the size of the crowds over the last few years they always tell me it is near or above break even figures!

Smederna have been in talks with Tomasz Gollob. That must be a pretty expensive way of living within their budget. IF (and it's a big "if") he signs, it would mean Jagus is on his way. But, of course, there are now riders available from Hammarby looking for places.

It costs nothing to talk :P

Plus all riders should have been given a shock with what is happening.Wage demands must reflect the financial climate.Or the Swedish clubs might end up going the route the Russian clubs seem to and just use the top names for big meetings.

Now bog off and stop picking on me

The trouble with that is, the clubs are agreeing in principle on what a fair price is for the riders and saying that's the top whack they'll pay, but then going back on it and changing that to suit themselves. Which is why we see Lejonen with Nicki P and Leigh Adams, and clubs like Indianerna, Smederna, etc struggling.

The riders obviously want to go where the money is, and all the time they can, they will. There have been various proposals about wage caps, or money being based on the riders' averages, but they have the same problems as us in trying to get everyone to agree.

Don't you read my posts any more? Us invisibles have to stick together, you know.

I know everything whats happening in Smederna.

Ghostwalker wrote that there is 2 companies that Smederna is in negoation with, its true but there is a third company intrested to that we are in negoation with.

We hope to have a answer from one of the companies on monday.

Smederna are selling their artistname 'Smederna' and the namne of the stadium and the sums we are talking about is from 1.5 millions swedish crowns for three years for the name of the team and on the stadium.

Many has said that 1.5 millions swedish crowns are to cheap for the name of the team and stadium but Smederna arent in the position to demand more as Smederna is in this economic bad situation with a debt of 2,5 millions swedish crowns.

The debt is not from 2008! It orginate from 1999 and upto 2007.

Smederna had for some years taken the sponsormoney for the fortcoming year to pay the debts for the actual year.

So do you have at least 1.5 millions swedish crowns maybe you can be the owner? :)

Check the link - Its all in swedish.

As fair I know so are it Dackarna, Rospiggarna and Elit Vetlanda the clubs that are doing a plus result for 2008.

Lejonen isnt.

Have 'Hammarby' gone out of business then? Will there be no top flight speedway in Stockholm?

yeah as stated earlier in this thread Hammarby has pulled out of Elitseriena nd will ride in Allsvenskan next season this means that Elitserien will only have 9 teams.
