pedropete
I don't think this is acceptable. If the track is deemed to be unfit now and needs changing, then surely it's been unfit for the 2 that have fallen off. Barmy. And Sam Ermolenkos comments 'they need more practise' - he'd be on his bloody arse if there was nothing wrong with the track whatsoever. Dont think there is much wrong with the track. For once I feel sorry for Ole Olsen. We all ask for more dirt on the track but the modern riders with the lay down engine cannot ride them. Silver Bee
It's not too grippy, it's inconsistant.

Silver Bee
That's better. Consistant again and the outside has some useable dirt again

Silver Bee
Stunning from Crumpy in the final. Great 1st/2nd bend and backstraight for a fully deserved win in the final. An on form Crumpy is a joy to watch - superb Wasn't an awful GP, except for the farce of Nicholls and Iversens crashes.

tigerblues
Didn't know if Crump could pull that off but a truly sensational final saw him to the top of the rostrum. Got to agree with Silver Bee - on form he is quality to watch. Thought Nicholls was kind of unlucky, he had 1 s*** ride but had the track not caught him out before it was sorted out, he'd have made the semis (well, it would have been pretty likely). Rode well in 3 of his races though so maybe can perform well in the last few GPs and get into the top 8? Bomber was pretty good too even despite some 3rd places but made a bit of a mess at the start of his semi-final and that was that. One of his better GPs this year though. Think Nicki proved why he is probably going to be champion for a second consecutive year and it's difficult to see where points will be gained on him by Crumpy, yes Jason was top tonight but Nicki was just as good bar the final. It's also hard to imagine Nicki losing what he has, he had a simply stunning year last year, carried it on through this year and I can't see him dropping the form next year. Nobody looks in the same class as him. Edited August 30, 2008 by tigerblues
acef
Fantastic from Jason, wondered why he went for gate 4 but there you go, if anyone will make it work then hes your man. Great 1st and 2nd bend and if youre out front when you get to turn three then you win it, the track got that slick. Guys in the sky studio said Jason didnt look fast enough in the semi, what utter crap. Nikki gated in the semi and nailed the first lap, vice versa for Jason in the final exept he did it when it really mattered
Carrie
It surely can't be fair to regrade the track half way through a race - which it must be if they've already had two starts, especially if that costs someone a place in the semi's (and I'm not just saying it because Scotty missed out)
barbs_77
well done to crumpy im pleased that he won , happy that chris did ok but too little too late for this season im afraid, not bothered about scott fed up with the excuses to be honest . over all not a bad gp but must admit they dont seem as exciting as they used to be. SUPERACE
Great win by Crumpy think he will be happy to be back winning this season and expect him to be 100% ready to challange next season. He started slow this year due to having to rest his injured knee all winter, where as this winter epxect him to be testing in Aussie and be ready to make a good start next season, over the last 4 or 5 gps theres not mcuh between Nicki and Jason. Peter
Terrible decision by the referee to exclude Andreas Jonsson, especially when you consider the referee at the Coventry v Ipswich meeting allowed Ben Barker to ride when he was on the other side of the track when the time ran out! Silver Bee
2 wrongs don't make a right. Well done to the ref for sticking to the rules.
Subedei
Only the global superstar could start with 5 points from 2 rides and still fail to make the semi-finals. The referee was bang on with all his decisions tonight, including the one to exclude Andreas Jonsson. Just a shame he wasn't at Coventry last Monday. Definitely, okay maybe a little harsh on AJ some would say because he wasn't far off but 2 minutes is 2 minutes and he wasn't there, whether he was a few seconds later is irrelevant. Subedei
Not harsh at all. Not the referee's problem that Jonsson can't get his bike to keep going on the start line. It would've been unfair on the other riders to have allowed him a second chance. You don't get a second chance if your engine fails after the tapes have gone up.
