shankley08
In Chris's defence I understand he cant sleep before a GP. Did your friend say whether he was drinking or not. I suspect the answer was NOT. So does he lay in bed and toss and turn orgo out - tire himself out and when he hits the pillow he then will fall asleep. Everyone does differenlty and I have been quick to jump when we have seen riders out late at night -but now I am more tolerant!! That is slightly unfair. I suspect Jim is just as passionate for Britain but doesnt have the same personal income as Neil. As you say Neil had to pay for himself (along with Poole Tourist Board - who whoever it was called) maybe Jim doesnt have a sponsor to help either. top and bottom of it is they should be proffesional you never so ivan mauger in the bar or moaning about i cant get out of the starts get on with it brits bring in chris noddy holder aussies next world champ
kingpin23699
Who gives a crap what time Bomber goes to bed before a GP? So Bjarne Pedersen was in bed by 8p.m!.....boring ol' git! So what time did he get up d'you reckon?...4 a.m?....5 a.m?.....6 a.m? He rides in a GP in the evening.....which means either he has to have a kip in the afternoon or he stays up all day. So he gets up something like 12 hours + before he starts work! I'd have done the same as Bomber.
Bagpuss
Thought the two Brits looked better tonight, although its probably too late to secure a spot for next year now. Can't see either of them in next year's series unless they really want a Brit in there, in which case Bomber may get the nod.

Bomber may have to suck up to Ole Olsen.
Fromafar
All this debate, and really you are talking about them just getting a top 8 spot for next year. How can you critisise Walasek and Umanik places they are not any worse than the Brits. Cannot see Nichols or Harris ever finishing in the top 3 at the end of a GP series. What i will say is at least they are not gating tarts and do put 100% into their racing unlike a few others. 21st century heathen
I see no reason that Scott shouldn't chase down Holta for the 8th position. Catching AJ looks very tough because even when Scott goes through to the semis and finals he rarely scores really big points and would need that to coincide with poor scores for AJ. Bomber is only 9 behind Holta so he's not completely out of it, but he needs a major turn around in form while Holta, Nicholls and Lindgren have two poor rounds. What price another three-way run-off between the same riders?

What price another three-way run-off between the same riders? I discount Harris and Lindgren from the equation. It's between Holta and the global superstar. And, frankly, I think Holta has more "bottle" and will make it. He seemed dead and buried with a couple of rounds to go last season, but came up with 26 points in the last couple of GPs to make that run-off.
